Surfing My Way Into Shape!
The media could not be loaded. This Balance Surf Board rocks!!! First of all, it is so cool to look at, & it is well-made, sturdy, & looks amazing on display when not in use. My balance is OK, but this is going to improve it greatly. The stability of this board really is impressive. The cork roller is total quality. I do highly recommend using it on carpet as my video shows until you get better. Also use a chair in front of you to hold on to. Like other brands, there is not any guard rails on the bottom of the board so it is more challenging. But I’ve had it for a day and I’m already getting the hang of it and feel pretty confident on it again on carpet. Wear with or without socks. There’s a great grip on the surface of the board. I think I will have a lot of FUN getting in shape building my abs with this. I love the blue color as it happens to be my favorite & bonus, this color happened to be on sale. Great price! I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to get in shape or wanting to improve their balance for surfing. I especially like being able to use it in my own living room.

It’s a pretty cool board!
The media could not be loaded. We love this! It has honestly has helped my kids gain lots of balance and I as well! We also have picked up long boarding and surf skating so this has also helped my kids get a since of good balance to help them with skating! Very grateful! It is a well built board and I really love that it has a stand! Beautiful and practical!

Nonslip sandpaper grit surface on a gentle arc--start on carpet with support and you'll be fine
Many thanks to you, fellow balance beginner, as well as the seller for the chance to check out AskTom Balance Board. As a late fifties first timer, I was almost scared away by other reviews, so I'll speak to some concerns first. 1)The entire top surface is like a medium grit sandpaper, you can plant your feet. 2) The measurements are correct, and the cork roller is wider than the board by visible inches. You can confidently center it beneath before you step on. 3) The board has a shallow lengthwise arc, which counterintuitively helps with "feeling" and centering the contact point for balance between roller and underside. Note: probably obvious, but it is not designed for front to back rolling. 4) No weight limit, instructions, or maintenance guide accompanies this board--an oversight that should be addressed by the seller--hence the loss of a star.Truthfully, with all the above in mind, take some simple safety precautions and this will be as fun as it should be. I have neither surfed nor snowboarded ever, and I'm not even particularly fit, yet I was able to stabilize (briefly) after a few attempts on low pile carpet with a chair to help at hand. While I would not advise trying this if you have neuropathy, weak or injured ankles, knees or hips, and/or limitations with your balance, as a 55+ adult who doesn’t exercise regularly, I’m enjoying physical training enough to want to improve, and that has never happened before.

Beautiful, sturdy, not a beginner board
We're in our 40s and just took our first surf lesson in October. We wanted to work on our balance at home ahead of trying again and bought this. It has become a game of how long can we stay on between my husband and me. There's no catch for the roller underneath like some of the beginner ones out there, so it's pretty hard. I don't mind a challenge though!

Awesome looking and fun
I've had this for over 3 months now and this thing rocks. It does have a learning curve to it where you can expect a few tumbles. I've never used a balance board before and don't do any sports that require this type of balancing (ie.. skateboarding, surfing..,). It took me about 10 minutes to get used to the board and stay on it for a few minutes at a time. After using this initially for about 30-40mins I could feel my leg muscles a bit sore the next day. After a couple days of use I've come to master this. I enjoy using this while watching the tv instead of just lazying around. The quality of the board, tube, and stand are top notch. I have this in the front of my living room.

Don’t buy! Not for beginners! First time use hurt wrist, injured shoulder, bruised breast and hip
First time trying, placed the cork in the middle of the board and leaned forward slowly to obtain a balance. The cork just immediately shot out of the back and I hit the ground hard on my entire right side; side of the face and everything down to hip. I’ve got a variety of balance products that I use regularly but I thought this would help with surfing not try to kill me. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Looks Used
I really like this product but it looks like they sent me a used board. It has scratches and nicks. That sucks!

So, my balance was far worse than I originally assumed
After using this Balance Board for several weeks, it's clear it brings a new twist to home workouts. The surf-style design is not just for show; it tests your balance and stability. Setting it up was a breeze, and the wheel mechanism is smooth, providing a consistent challenge whether you're just starting out or already have some experience with board sports. The board itself is sturdy—made to handle regular use without showing signs of wear too quickly. I've noticed a real improvement in my core strength and posture. Plus, it's pretty fun, turning what could be a mundane exercise routine into something you can look forward to.The only downside is that if you're new to balance training, there might be a steep learning curve. But it's worth the effort once you get the hang of it. This board isn't just another piece of fitness equipment; it's a tool that engages you physically and mentally. Great for anyone looking to spice up their indoor workout regimen.
