but otherwise it's a fantastic mold.
The lid can be a bit fiddly if you don't put the sticks in perfectly straight, but otherwise it's a fantastic mold.

EXCELLENT PROFESSIONAL POPSICLES!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!I read all the reviews before i bought this cuz costly & i thank EVERYBODY for their detailed comments.- I only soaked my sticks for about 10 minutes & they were fine to insert.- I froze the filed tray for about an hour before inserting the sticks so i could insert them only half way (so they didn't sink to the bottom).- When frozen, i held the mold perpendicular so the metal edge was under the warm/hot tap water & then out of the stream, it came off by wiggling it back & forth over the wooden sticks.- I ran water over each individual Popsicle but one could put the tray in warm/hot water to loosen them all - then put 3 to a ziploc bag to free up the mold to make more or give as gifts as i did!!!- using sticks is awesome for 'gift giving' - no plastic sticks you need to get back or can be misplaced.- i liked this mold so much - it's sturdy & the pops look so professional when made, I bought another!!!Making one's own pops is an excellent way to eat fruit mixed with plain or Greek yogurt using healthy sweeteners such as coconut syrup or sugar, maple syrup or honey. There are some EXCELLENT pop making recipe books to follow then venture out on one's own. Freezing out of the mold in ziplocks & giving as gifts or saving for guests for outdoor dinners is AWESOME!!

Great, easy to use product!
I just made some popsicles with these & they came out great! It is a quality made item! I was going to get the cheaper version of this- the Norpro, but I read a lot of complaints that it was very sharp & cheaply made.. This was definitely worth the extra few dollars! It's very well made and not sharp at all. It's very pretty! All I did was soak the bottom part in warm water for 30-45 seconds & the pops pulled right out! I stuck them in a freezer bag & put them in the freezer. All 10 were gone in 1 day! My grandma, uncle, mom, dad and myself ate 'em! lol The molds are easy to use & very simple to clean. I just rinsed them out after using them & filled each one with a little soap & water, cleaned it with a rag & my finger & air dried them! These are much easier to get out of the mold than my Tovolo Groovy Ice Pop Molds, Set of 6, Yellow .Some tips: I cleaned off the metal part of the mold, so that nothing stuck to it when it was frozen. I did fill them up all the way, and I didn't have any issues with spill-over. I also think people may make the mistake of not soaking the popsicles themselves in warm water. It really doesn't melt them. It just makes them release easier. They pop right out with a couple of firm pulls. In regards to the sticks themselves, I just read everyone's reviews on here & a few other ice pop molds & waited about 1 1/2 hours before inserting the sticks. That prevented them from sinking or going wonky directions. They were straight & no pre-soaking, so easy peasy! These are 2.5 oz serving (regular sized) & are smaller than the Tovolo Groovy Ice Pop Molds, Set of 6, Yellow . If you just want a regular sized, smaller snack (for adults) then this size is great. Probably a little big for kids. If you want to make something you really love & want to eat a lot of, then I'd recommend the Tovolo ones. They are a very pretty mold! If you don't want to use the plastic sticks that come with that model, just buy popsicle sticks & wrap the molds with aluminum foil & poke the sticks in about 2 hours after they're in the freezer. I say 2 hours, because they're a bit larger than these Progressive freezer pop molds. :)I made some Orange Creamsicles with these Progressive molds! Here was what I did:1/2 tub of Dannon Oikos Plain Greek Yogurt (16 oz)Honey, to taste.. I probably used about 1 cup, because Greek yogurt is really tart. Alternatively, you can use simple syrup, agave nectar or stevia or whatever.. But honey gives it a nice citrus taste.1 to 1 1/2 cups Orange Juice-- I didn't measure, I just poured it until i got the flavor I wanted.Just whisk the ingredients together. The honey & orange juice thin out the yogurt. Vanilla or orange yogurt would probably have been good with it to!This was enough to fill all 10 molds up, perfectly! :)Enjoy! Great For Parties & Parents
Great, simple, and works! Unlike other Popsicle makers I have used that leave the middles soft, leaving the Popsicle in the casing, this one freezes completely through and looks much more professional then the hard plastic of others. Perfect!Cons:-Can be tricky to get the Popsicles out, but they will if put under warm water long enough.
