Fantastic phone
Well I have nothing wrong with this phone at all cuz I bought this around about 5 months ago on finance and it's still running so it's a good phone. I can do a lot with it and lot more. I'm still discovering about this phone. Mine just finished the payments so yeah fantastic phone. Great pictures. Battery life is great. If what you using it for the battery life will go down. If you game a lot, obviously it'll go down the brightness. You can put up and down on the phone like you do every phone so it's fantastic

Pixel 8 Pro is a Great Product
Great service and I received my new Pixel 8 Pro 2 days early and in perfect condition, using the phone for a day and it is a pleasure to use, Amazing screen and cameras, really happy with my purchase.

Great Phone
I've bought this phone through Amazon Warehouse because it was marked as excellent condition. Not only it was in excellent condition but i couldn't tell that the phone was not brand new !! excellent. The phone takes me easily through a day with 35% battery left, although I'm not the most demanding user. That being said, I'm happy to report that the camera is excellent. The wide-angle camera exceeds expectations thanks to its huge resolution and very good (for a wide angle) night performance. Charging is a bit slow, but that's probably because I'm coming from a OnePlus :))Overall, great phone.

a very solid phone
I use very little battery optimization, but despite this it seems to last me a majority of the day. I imagine with battery optimization the phone would last any regular user all day and then some. the phone functions exactly as you'd expect, the animations are quite snappy and the vibration response to your inputs always feels nice. the phone charges at any reasonable speed that most charging bricks provide. I got the phone for 60% off as part of the black Friday sale, so it was a pretty great bargain.my phone occasionally has slight issues with missing inputs when I tap the screen, although this is a very rare issue and has only happened a few times. Otherwise, it's a sleek, fast phone with a great camera to boot

Pixel 8 Pro
I bought this as my previous phone was starting to fail. It's a great phone, I read about all sorts of possible problems but haven't experienced any of them. Eg. no heating up when charging or watching film, no problem with signal. I'm not a gamer etc. so my battery will go for 3 days before I need charging most of the time. Every other day if perhaps if scrolling YouTube and web a lot. This phone isn't much bigger than previous one, Nokia 9 Preview, so will still fit in pocket. Compared to the Nokia 9 Pureview, the screen doesn't display white as well. It's a bit drab, the Nokia is properly white, maybe the pixel has a setting to change, even turning brightness up to max doesn't match the Nokia. Other than that, its great.

Solid Phone
All the features that are meaningful to me work well. I'm not really a camera guy but I love the optical zoom and great macro. Under screen fingerprint works well. Face unlock is fine but I tend to fidget with my phone and unlock it a lot accidentally so I'll probably turn that off.I like Android Auto better than Car Play, it works better. For some reason Car Play refuses to handle Amazon Music by voice command, which works find with Google. One of the big reasons I switched to the Pixel for my everyday phone. (I'm a mobile developer, I have a bunch of devices.)You're going to want a case to protect the large camera bump on the back, although it does make it easy to figure out the phone orientation when its jammed in your pocket.

The phone's hardware is a battery killer, doesn't hold a day of light usage. Not recommended
I'm convinced that Google gave up on its users, the same ones who were promised 7 years of updates, I don't know why the 7 years at all, I'm thankful if I can complete one year before this battery would be as dead as my grand grandfather. Back in 2016 I bought a Samsung J5 for $175 and I SWEAR TO GOD its battery performance and endurance was much better for at least 6 months even on very heavy usage than this thing I just bought from Google. The 8 pro is my first pixel phone and its battery performance is absolutely hideous, like outstandingly hideous, I can't find the words to describe it, nothing close to a £1000 flagship. I kept thinking that the phone I received must've had a faulty battery, but after some research I found many many complaints online describing the same poor battery performance for the pixel 8 and 8 pro.I have years of battery drainage expertise, I tried everything I knew, every option I could think of:Dark mode always on.Very low brightness all day therefore even adaptive brightness was off.Restricted all apps from background.Turned on battery saver all day.Turned on adaptive charging and adaptive battery.Turned off all vibrations and haptics. No live or moving wallpapers whatsoever.Screen timeout 30 seconds.Turned off any lift-the-phone-screen-goes-on sensors that might consume the battery, I considered them luxury features just to see how far this would go...Switched off (mobile data always active) in developer options as I know data is a major battery killer.Used mobile data for less than 60 minutes a day (if any) while on wifi for the rest of the day.GPS turned off since I bought it, barely used it at all.Turned off face unlock so the camera won't be used every time I turn the screen on.Turned off identify songs nearby so the microphone won't be used all the time.Did everything that was mentioned in the tips for preserving battery life in settings.Sacrificed smooth display (60 hz refresh rate literally all the time).Even took the damn resolution down to the lower option. That said I practically took it back to a mid-range phone, it's barely a smartphone at this point so I waited 2 days and surprisingly enough the battery drainage was the same, like not the slightest improvment that would make me feel guilty while writing this. It's like don't waste your time cause something in there is gonna eat your battery no matter what you do. And I know what many of you might think, factory reset? Nah I did that first thing out of the box: Turn on, install all updates, factory reset and a fresh start.I am so surprised, so frustrated, can't describe how disappointed I am with this battery that feels like it's been used excessively for 2 or 3 years. The discussion forums that I mentioned earlier even said that this drainage problem existed all the way in the pixel 6/6a/6pro/7/7a/7pro and that Google tried with updates but never fully resolved it.And that was the bottom line for me, I'm applying for a return right now. If the company is not taking it seriously then I have a few other flagship brands to choose from, no fancy camera features or smart AI processor would hold me at this point, I didn't pay a £1000 for barely 8 hours of moderate usage from 100 to 10 percent even after all these miserable adjustments I mentioned. Just to be clear when I say 8 hours then I don't mean usage for the whole time, I mean about 5 hours of normal apps (facebook, camera, settings) and 3 hours of no apps running screen off in my pocket and the battery would still drain the same even when not using the phone and that drove me crazy!! A two week test from Google before launching the phone would've been enough to let them know the disaster they're selling people, shame on you googleOther than that, the design is good, both in and out. Everything feels so smooth and slick. If it wasn't for the battery I wouldn't have even considered a return.
