Excellent Craftsmanship
I was in the market for this model and found several options on my research based on price. I found one that was for less than $100 but was disappointed when it arrived because of the poor manual (literal translations from a foreign language that were Google translated do not exactly work well in scientific human anatomy). The option on the other end was over $500 that I have encountered before in the university science lab; well made but too expensive. This anatomical leg by Evotech is the sweet spot. Fine craftsmanship, as with their other products I've purchased, and accurate and precise manual. As with other models, be aware that the parts on this don't hold together well despite the magnets and connections (common with appendage models). You'll have to compensate with rubber bands to keep them intact. Overall, great product and reasonable price here on Amazon.

Good idea- needs work
Overall the model is well made and exquisitely detailed ( really like the cruciate ligaments). Why it needs work:The muscles are held together mainly via magnets- great- this eliminates the pegs used before. However the parts fall apart easily. Just by moving the thigh the hamstring muscle just do not hold well with these magnets. The ability to disarticulate the model at the knee was the reason it was purchased. However, this is the most problematic area. The way the lower leg hinges with the upper leg leaves too much wiggle room (pun intended?). This contributes to easy unwanted disconnections at this point- thus dropping the lower leg. A metal peg is included at the area of the meniscus to connect with the femur's condyle, but in my opinion it is too week to stabilize the knee joint. The stand: it's cool! but again not very practical to hold the fully assembled model. There is a small peg near the bottom of the support rod that helps balance the model , if the model stays on/in it. However if you move the stand abruptly the whole model falls off and or dangles on the support rod.In general this model I would not recommend for classroom use if students are going to share and or pass around unless improvements are made.I will keep it and try to make improvements so that when I use it things don't fall apart.Improvements I will try: increase magnet number on most muscles, include articulating rubber/silicone at the knee joint and use the spare hinges it came with or change all hinges with more heavy duty one.

Beautiful
I am a first year podiatry student and this is so helpful. Each layer from superficial to deep you can really identify it and not only that’s it feels like a puzzle. It brings an identification guide to help you identify each muscle. This is a really good product maybe a little pricey but that’s medical school for you.

Very detailed but cant get it to stay together
I like how detailed this is, and the materials themselves are very durable and painted well. And, this has bone, muscle, veins, arteries, nerves, & ligaments.... it's very detailed. This is intend as an educational tool so it can be handled a lot and not break. The problem is that it doesn't stay together, and is incredibly difficult to assemble. The pins don't line up. The stand is wobbly. The latches and hooks don't work well. Once you have it together (and don't breathe on it) it looks and works great. But if you ever want to remove a muscle to look underneath, or even just touch it, plan on taking another 20-30 minutes to reassemble it.Looks good but very frustrating. I may need to use my tools and screw it together permanently. The knee doesn't bend, there are no moving parts except to take it apart and see the layers.3.5 stars

Large and clearly understandable
Clearly colored, sturdy, and well-made, this is exactly what I remember anatomical models being like in school. A quick glance at the other reviews suggests that some others have gotten examples that don't fit together well; however the one I received does, and can be assembled and disassembled quite easily, given its complexity. It's definitely been a helpful basic reference for me as an artist, and certainly helped me think through things when modeling human legs for digital 3d.

Great gift
I had picked this up for my doctor as they specialize in the muscular and nerve endings of the human body. I figured it would be a great gift for the doctor to be able to show their patients where problems maybe on their leg. It stands almost 2/3 life size at 25" tall. It comes with different pieces to show the muscular, nerve endings and blood vessels in the human leg. This is great for anyone studying the human body or any practice.

Realistic, well made, good size
Realistic, well made, good size:This leg model is a very realistic, complete representation of the inner anatomy of a human leg. The product also comes with a numbered list of all the biological components of a human leg, aiding any studying exercises used to memorize the pieces of anatomy. The model is well made with higher quality materials that feel reasonably durable and hold together within the unit nicely. The visual details on the model are more than adequate to see every component included. The size of the model is also large enough to find every component visually but small enough where it can be stored or displayed without taking up too much space.Overall, this is a great model and I would recommend.
