Bad quality.
Shame about the plastic clamp quite a flimsy lock, the hole is slightly lose on my light stand so when you clamp it it slide down the pole. the boom arm did not fit the clamp hole as well. Bad quality.

An Excellent Sort Arm Boom
I am very pleased with this product which is a very cost-effective solution to solve a very occasional problem in positioning an overhead softbox. It didn't come with any instructions, and you need quite a few extra components to assemble the whole thing, but if you know what you are doing, once it is up, it does the job perfectly.I added my own 1kg counterweight to balance it safely and weighted the base of the lightstand with 5kg. Very stable and safe.An excellent short arm boom. Recommended.

Not for any kind of heavy duty use.
Better suited for a microphone than lighting. It's very lightweight, which is a plus, but that's really the only plus. It's very plasticky and flimsy for anything more than a small softbox and camera strobe flash. Still, what can you expect for 20-odd quid?

Ideal for small LED Lights
I needed this to get a light close to a presenter in a car and it works well. You wont be able to use it for heavy lights and the sandbag isn't good quality so wouldn't trust it not to split at the seams so using a counter weight.

Great for the price
I've bought a couple of these to hang mics, compact LED video lights, a small canon dslr, or mirrorles cameras with small lenses attached and they can handle it all (each separately). Quite happy with these. The plastic attachment is indeed plastic but it can be attached to different thickness poles. The only caveat it's that once positioned as needed it takes quite a bit of effort to reposition and usually the screw falls off holding the mount bracket together

Not very sturdy
The stand has a terrible habit of over balancing when extended, the tripod legs are of insufficient sturdiness, I no longer use this stand. Top clamp very unreliable especially if you put a studio light on the end of the boom, not really what you want.

It works.
The design except mechanism ls good, it has dlfferent radius holes to fit dlfferent stands but it is too difficult to find correct one. No sign on the holder.
