Clever speakerphone/docking station hybrid
J5create makes a downright eclectic range of tech accessories which look to be focused on remote work and the creator economy. I've picked up a number of their products in the past year and they've all been very good. To give you some idea of the diversity of their product lines I've now got a J5create branded monitor stand, video capture card, wireless HDMI TX/RX and an AI powered conference webcam. This is another interesting product--essentially a speakerphone/docking station hybrid. The device itself is sleek and professional looking but from the standpoint of a speakerphone much larger than many similar products. Keep in mind, however, that this has significantly more functionality than the typical speakerphone 'puck' and in context of that it's a much more reasonable size. In my case, however, I have several dedicated docking stations for various tasks and my primary use for this is as a speakerphone. In that role, it's very good. The device has four omnidirectional microphones which delivers audio that is clear and strong. The noise and echo canceling is very good and wasn't an issue at all during my testing. It might not be the most impressive speakerphone on the market but it does deliver very capable performance at a reasonable price point. The device can connect via Bluetooth or USB-C.The docking station features are well implemented but don't add a ton of versatility. You can get high quality video to an external monitor via HDMI, two USB-A ports and 1 USB-C ports along with an Ethernet port. It also supports pass through charging which is a nice touch. For someone like me that travels extensively and works remotely it's not enough to replace a full featured docking station but the features will certainly be helpful in certain situations. Maybe I'm overstating the size of the device--looking at the specs for several of my smaller form factor speakerphones the size/weight are just fractionally higher. The speakerphone I took with me on my last international trip weighed 10 ounces, this one weighs 1.3 pounds. The smaller speakerphone is a 4.7 x 4.7 circle, this is a 5.12 x 5.12 square. It's probably a half inch thicker. It might be the first j5create device I've picked up that doesn't have an included case but I'm thinking that you could put it in a suitcase or laptop bag and it would travel well.Overall, a very well done product with a few unique features. Highly recommended!

Boost Your Conference Calls
j5create USB-C 4K Speakerphone Dock As someone who regularly has video conferences for work, this all-in-one audio dock has made my meetings much more seamless and efficient. The first thing that caught my attention about this dock was its sleek and compact design. It is small enough to fit on my desk without taking up too much space, but it still has all the necessary ports and features. The 4K HDMI port allows me to easily connect my laptop to a larger monitor for a better viewing experience during video conferences. The USB-A x 2 and USB-C ports are also great for charging my devices and transferring data. I no longer have to worry about running out of battery during a meeting, as I can simply plug in my phone or tablet to the dock for a quick charge. The Gigabit ethernet port is also a useful addition, as it provides a stable and fast internet connection for my video calls. The speakerphone feature of this dock is a game-changer. The audio quality is excellent and it has a 360-degree microphone, ensuring that everyone on the call can be heard clearly. I have received numerous compliments from my colleagues on the sound quality during our meetings. It has definitely enhanced the overall video conferencing experience.I also appreciate the pass-through charging feature of this dock. It allows me to charge my laptop while using the dock, eliminating the need for multiple power outlets and cords on my desk. This has been a huge convenience for me.The j5create USB-C 4K Speakerphone Dock is also compatible with popular video conferencing platforms such as Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet. I have used it with all three and have not encountered any issues. It is plug-and-play, so I didn't have to install any additional software or drivers.Overall, I recommend the j5create USB-C 4K Speakerphone Dock to anyone who regularly has video conferences. It is a high-quality, versatile, and user-friendly device that has greatly improved my virtual meetings. I am very satisfied and it has definitely been a valuable addition to my home office setup.

Good for Teams/Zoom/Phone
I have the Poly Sync 20+ which this speakerphone from J5create is quite similar to in abilities and quality of sound. That's high praise. Poly (formerly Polycom) has been at the top in the speakerphone world for decades and while speakerphone prices have dropped and video is now the primary use for such devices, to be comparable to a Polycom phone (now part of Plantronics) is still an achievement. This unit is similar to my Poly Sync 20+ in size and range of use (13 feet for both). Sound is similarly good, as is noise cancellation. There is one major difference, and that's the ability of this J5create speakerphone to also serve as a USB-C dock, an ability the Poly Sync 20+ lacks. That's a fairly big advantage for the j5create since it's likely to be used with a laptop and its ability not to monopolize a precious USB-C port is helpful.Like the Poly phone, this from j5create can also work over Bluetooth connection. However, it is not battery-powered; you still need to have the speakerphone plugged in to use it with your phone.

Works fantastic with my Mac Mini M2 Pro
This device worked perfectly on my Mac Mini M2 Pro and integrated into Teams without me having to do anything. The buttons on the top worked perfectly and the audio was not only rich but everyone on the meetings today commented how much better I sounded vs. my headset I usually have on. As this shows up as a speaker on my Mac Mini it will even play songs and it sounds pretty decent for the size it is.In terms of the ports on the back, they all worked just fine and are handy for my desktop setup where my Mac Mini is mounted to the back of my monitor so now I have access to USB ports right on my desk. The bottom of the hub has a nice rubber section to keep it from moving and keeps it from scratching my desk.Overall, it works exactly as expected and looks rather nice.
