The media could not be loaded. For work purposes we need to frequently travel short distances of about 1 to 2 miles around the city for quick drop offs. It is the kind of distances that we really want to reduce doing by car for environmental credentials but too slow and inefficient by walking. Motorised scooters are generally illegal in UK roads. We tried using a normal push bike but we just got a bit sweaty in the summer months. This cheap motorised electric bike was a good option of testing if it is a workable solution for us as a company.It was well delivered in a secure box packaging. Only basic assembly required which was really simple. As with all battery operated products, you should fully charge it up at the start before using. I have never used an electric bike before so it felt a bit strange initially. The motor engages after you reach a minimum speed of about 5mph. At that point you get the instant feel of assisted pedal power. At full electric power you can go some speed - the manual says 25km/h which works out to be over 15mph. This is definitely fast enough for city cycling and you can easily expect to overtake cars.The bike feels solid and well constructed. It is easy to cycle even unassisted It has a decent 7 gear Shimano system which is easy to operate.A full charge does us at work easily for a full day and we just charge up the battery for the next day so it works for us very well. We have had a meeting with all the staff to appraise this bike and we are happy with its performance overall especially as it is so affordable compared to some on the market. It is also useful to have the back rack for work use to hold parcels or to hold your bag.

I buy this cycle, the battery timing is very poor.Tyres are also not good. And most important brakes disk is very noisy always loose the brakes.

The bike eventually arrived. I must say "what a brilliant ebike." I had it out the box and built within an hour. It's straight forward. Battery was just under full charge and only took about 20 minutes to get to full charge. I'm now waiting for a break in the weather to try it out on the road. But I am very pleased with the quality of the workmanship. Top notch.

great bike easy to assemble goes very well battery last for long time

After using an electric scooter, and being bounced around everywhere and those dangerously small tyres, I decided to sell that and buy an electric bike instead.I’m glad I bought this bike now. It came well packaged, arrived in 2 days after purchasing. Required a little assemble like the handle bars and the front wheel fitting. The main things come factory fitted in the box such as the rear wheel which has the motor hub inside, all the gears and chain and pedals come pre-fitted. Took me about 20 minutes to build the bike. It came with a mini allen-key set for assembly of the bike.Came half charged, safer for the battery in storage. So I gave it full charge before using it first time, as per the manual, with the included 32v charger. Played around with the settings on the digital screen and figured out what does what and how it work.It’s a ride-start motor, so you have to pedal to about 5mph and then the motor will kick in and help you pedal. There’s also another mode where you can use the thumb throttle and have it in full electric mode where it’ll reach about 15-20mph on a straight road, struggles a bit up hill which is when you’d want the pedal assist mode to save the battery power.The bike is really nice quality, you can get the feel of the quality when building it. There’s no suspension but it’s a road bike, with thin tyres. Feels nice and comfy to ride, especially with the old fashioned handle bars. Power delivery is very smooth and works great. I’ve done 15 miles going to work and back over the last week, I’ve used about 50/50 of each mode; pedalling and full motor mode and it’s on about 75% battery still.The gears are good Japanese made Shimano 7 speed with a quick fire gear changer switch on the handle bars. The rack on the back is awesome too, it is a lift up bracket on a metal spring so it can hold a bag or cargo on the back safely. You could even strap things down on the back rack. Very useful rack. Nice brake light come on the back when you hit the brakes, and it has a small headlight which is actually good in the dark, all controlled from the handlebars.Overall, great bike, not a bad price for a new bike, a large battery, and a motor hub and the controllers etc. Especially compared to similar electric scooters.
