AIRHEAD Rider Towable Tube for Boating

There is no question about the fun factor. The tube is stable with good aerodynamic qualities for a great balance between bounce and air time. The edges don't dig in on high speed swings outside the wake. When riders are bounced off the tube wants to fly and invert which can be a problem if the driver doesn't come off the power quickly. When the tube was inverted it wants to dig in so backing off the power is important to avoid stress on the tow strap. Some reviews have questioned the durability of this tube. After one week, comparing this with several similar tubes from other manufacturers I think this is among the best. After a full day of intense tubing, we did find water between the tube bladder and the vinal tube cover. It wasn't much and the convenient zippered opening at the end of the cover allowed us to drain the water quickly. I suspect the water entered through the Velcro flaps covering the three air filler valves, one for the main tube and one each for the 2 seat backs. Overall, this passes the kid test and the Papa durability test.

Great size for multiple riders. Wont use until next year. Hope it holds up. Ordered a different one last year and it was unusable after one outing. At least we got to use it for one day.

We used this tube for the summer of 2019 and it was so fun and great, especially for younger kids because they were pretty secure in the seated area. However, come summer 2020 and we were out on the lake and the tube is losing air. Get back to beach and the bottom tube has a huge hole at a seam line, literally just is ripping apart on the plastic area that holds the air. Very disappointed that this did last longer, We keep it in a shed during the summer and deflated in our house in the wintertime same as all our other water toys.Also, the handles are not in great places for the person riding in the middle.

Used this tube for 2 years. It is great for leizure and for pulling the older folks that want to go fast. However, it retains a lot of water which can slow down the pulling ability and make it hard to make sweeping moves to get the float out of the wake. Not a problem when pulling small kids, but can be if the older heavier adults want pulled.

We bought this tube for our young sons to be able to tube together. We used it a handful of times and noticed that it was losing air. We pulled the inflatable out of the cover which is not easy, and found two separate holes. Each hole was on the top of the tube, not even at a seam.I sent a message to airhead even asking if I could somehow buy replacement inflatable part and they have ignored my messages.We really enjoyed this tube for the short time we were able to use it. Frustrating for the price.

My kids love this tube! Would be great for younger kids but also my teen and his friends enjoy it. The best thing is the space between the seats- no bumping heads like other sitting tubes but we do often pull 3 people on this with one laying between them. The fabric is very good and seems sturdy, no leaks so far so praying we get multiple seasons out of this one vs most tubes that die after 1-2 summers max

We used this tube for two years before the cover tore apart and ripped in places that made it not safe to use. The handles started ripping after the first year. Normally we find that Airhead makes very good towables. In fact we have two different Airhead towables that we still use after 19 years. They have just some minor sun fading and and cosmetic damage. In other words that is why we made this purchase and we are disappointed that it only made two years.
