Installed on 2003 F250. This bed extender is very high quality works great and came with all the necessary hardware. As far as any available bed extender this is the most heavy duty one you will find and is made for work not to look fancy. I would trust this with some serious weight behind it. If you have it open you can use it as a ladder to get into the bed of the truck. It says not to use it like that but it does not strain at all and I'm not light. All of the pins that attach the bed extender tailgate to the side panels are spring loaded and made of stainless steel. On my F250 this bed extender comes past the tailgate approximately 4 inches so it does leave that gap. It is made of heavy steel tubing that is black powercoated. Like one other person said it does have rust dust all over it but that just easily wipes off. Also mine had some scratches and the alignment brackets were slightly bent. They can be easily bent back with some pliers. None of those things mattered to me at all since I bought it as a tool to be used. I like that it's made of steel so it can be easily welded if repairs are needed or can be adapted or added on to. Comes with easy to understand directions and fits well right out of the box. I highly recommend!!

All the bolts were there for it very solid when installed on my 2018 F150. Same build as one that is more than twice the price. I even used the video instructions from that other brand to install.

The build quality and weight of the steel was good. The steel was powder coated nicely but the item was missing all of the nuts, bolts, and fender washers in the package. Also the steel was covered in red dust, potentially rust dust. If the tailgate extender would have had better diagrams for assembly and fit onto my 2010 Ford F150 (it didn't latch at the bottom of the side rails) I probably would have kept it and just gone to buy the missing items but it didn't seem to fit. So I ended up returning this item.
