This vibration alarm is designed to be a deterrent and I think it can deter a thief. It is easy to attach to the metal on the interior of a car. Finding a place to attach it in my car wasn’t easy. It is able to detect vibrations and sudden movements consistent with someone who tests the door to see if it is locked, bumps the car, or enters the vehicle. They should regret it if they don’t retreat after the warnings. The motion sensor alarm produces a loud siren (your choice of six) that can be noticed immediately. There are three volume levels 96dB, 102dB, and 108dB. If they have opened the door or broken a window, they may flee rather than proceed with their plan. If they are standing outside the car, this is only meant to let them know the alarm is armed and to make them rethink whether they still want to get your car or pick another car.It is operated by a remote control fob that I have hanging on my key ring. It controls the activation/deactivation and the other features and options the alarm system offers. The battery is purported to be long lasting. I like the style of the upgraded remote better than the older version. They tell us that this version lasts twice as long as the previous model and the range is about 30% longer. Maybe! There is conflicting information on the promotion page “maximum range 66 feet,” and “ range of up to 98 feet,” and remote range “98-196FT.” That has me scratching my head. Which is accurate?This motion sensor acts as a deterrent as well as a notification that someone is tampering or has made incidental contact with your vehicle. It is a great warning system that is portable to families with multi vehicles. It is also versatile. You have options in where to place it, volume and six sound/siren options, and it can be attached to other items you want to secure. I like the idea of using it in a hotel room, jewelry drawer, doors, fridge, purses, and backpacks. This is great if you’re traveling alone and need to fall asleep! Someone will be shocked if they move your bag! I hope you are working on a fob that is triggered when the motion sensor is triggered. I would love that feature but you can make it an option that one can turn off or flash but not trigger a siren.I appreciate the product. It does what it says it will do. It’s a fair price as a deterrent. I like its versatility. You know the battery needs to be replaced or recharged when you don’t get a response to your fob.

I appreciate that one control manages both sensors. The only downside is the batteries; however, it states they last between one to three months, so I just need to stay on top of it. It would have been better if it could connect directly to the vehicle's battery.

The lasted like a month and the batteries started malfunctioning and everything started malfunction. Your remote stopped working.And you can’t hear it if you close the doors from outside it’s really loud if you’re inside the car

It doesn’t do what it says it does. It’s not sensitive enough to turn on when someone is trying to get in the vehicle. I shook it hard and only got the light to come on, but the alarm doesn’t sound until I actually started my vehicle and it is not loud enough to hear from my bedroom. I don’t think it’s worth it
