The video quality is excellent, providing a clear 1080P HD image both during the day and at night. The wide 140° angle lets me see more than just who’s standing at my door—it captures a good portion of my porch and yard, which has been helpful for keeping an eye on things. One of the first times I realized how useful this doorbell would be was when I was at work and a delivery driver arrived with a package that required a signature. Instead of missing it, I was able to talk to the driver through the built-in two-way audio and ask them to leave it with my neighbor. It was incredibly convenient not having to scramble to reschedule the delivery.Another time, my kids were playing outside, and instead of running back and forth to check on them, I just pulled up the live feed on my phone. The motion alerts are really helpful for knowing when someone comes to the door, though I did have to adjust the sensitivity a bit because it was originally picking up cars driving by. After some fine-tuning, I now get notifications only when there’s actual movement on my front steps. One night, I got an alert, and when I checked, it turned out to be a raccoon rummaging around near my porch. While it wasn’t anything serious, it was reassuring to see that the camera picks up motion even in the dark thanks to its built-in night vision.Installation was fairly simple since I already had an existing wired doorbell setup. If you don’t, you’ll need to get a separate power adapter, which is something to be aware of. I also liked that it worked with my existing chime, so I didn’t have to replace anything else in my home. The Amcrest Smart Home app makes it easy to check recordings and view the live feed, and I like that I have options for storing video. I use a MicroSD card, but Amcrest also offers a cloud storage option with a free year of service. The notifications come through quickly, though there’s sometimes a very slight delay, which isn’t a huge issue but worth mentioning. One thing to note is that the doorbell only works with 2.4GHz WiFi, so if you primarily use a 5GHz network, you might need to adjust your settings.Overall, I’ve been really happy with this doorbell. It’s given me peace of mind, knowing I can check in on my home anytime, whether I’m inside or away. I love being able to see who’s at my door before answering and having the option to talk to visitors even when I’m not home. It has helped me avoid solicitors, keep track of deliveries, and feel more secure overall. I've always been a fan of Amcrest cameras, since the early days, so when my Eufy camera decided to stop working properly, I made the change to the Amcrest doorbell camera. As usual, the packaging and attention to detail were evident. The setup process, while not the smoothest, wasn't too bad. One suggestion, take a picture of the QR code and serial number on the back of the doorbell, using a different phone to set up the doorbell with. This way, it will make installation smoother, when you connect the doorbell to your network.Speaking of installation, the set up process was seamless and pretty straightforward. It connected to my 2.4ghz wireless network without any issues. If you aren't replacing an existing doorbell, installation will take a little longer as you need to install the wall anchor screws. In my case, it was as simple as removing the old doorbell, connecting the Amcrest doorbell to the two wires with the included screws, and launching the app.The image clarity is great. While its only 1080P, the resolution is still good, both night and day. I have it mounted on my front door, which gives me a nice view of the front porch, too. Motion detecting is pretty accurate, and I don't get any false alerts from tree branches moving in the wind or cars passing by.I found that the two-way audio was clear, unless its a windy day, which makes the audio a little bit distorted. I really like that it has a MicroSD card, so that I don't need to pay for extra cloud storage. It also has the ability to use RTSP, so people with Blue Iris or similar programs can 'tap into' the camera and view the feed.Overall, I'm really impressed with this doorbell camera. Image clarity, the installation process, and the app are all wonderful. The camera is reliable and I feel it will last a long time.

The 140 wide angle gives me a nice view of the porch, road and driveway. I did need to purchase a different mount since I have siding on my house that’s not flat. It’s easy to install and the directions are easy to follow. I wish it worked on the same app as the rest of my Amcrest cameras. Wish all worked in on simple to use app. In the over saturated market of camera and doorbell cameras this one is wonderful for the price point and Amcrest has never steered us wrong. We recommend them.This might be my doing from installing but when you ring the doorbell it rings outside then a few minutes later will ring inside.
