The key ingredient is zinc oxide. It doesnt leave any white residue on the skin when applied even on wheatish or dark skin color. It doesnt have the funny smell that most sunscreens have. Great product

Great for kids

My kids have sensitive skin and normally end up with rash from sunscreen. This sunscreen is perfect for sensitive skin, it’s lightweight and fragrance free.

We have been using Blue Lizard for at least three years now on our kids. We use it on their whole bodies including their faces as it's the only mineral sunscreen we have found that doesn't cause my daughter to break out in eczema. I was afraid when the bottle changed that the quality or formulation may have also changed, but so far so good. It still is very effective at keeping my kids from getting sunburned and while it does have a slight white cast that fades as long as it's rubbed in well and they don't immediately jump into the water.

Good some protection and well worth the money

Beware - we have used Blue Lizard for years because of my kids' being prone to eczema. The new formula caused my son to have a major flare up, - just be aware if you have a skin condition to consider!
