So handy—makes hand washing dishes almost fun!
I keep this tool in a container by the sink, along with my other scrubbing tools. I leave it about 3/4 of the way full of dish detergent to start and it takes a LONG time for the wand to get empty. It is ready to go, so you just wet the sponge well—I then squish the sponge on the bottom of my kitchen sink to make sure that the suds are coming out well. It almost takes the pain out of washing hand wash dishes. We have a dishwasher, but some pots and pans and utensils can’t be put in it (like my best knives and my kitchen scissors). So it is nice to have a way to QUICKLY dispatch that work. I’m not sure washing dishes could ever be considered fun, but this tool takes you as close as you’ll get.

The best tool in my kitchen
I bought one of these two years ago from my kitchen and a box of refills for it. It’s so much better than the ones you can buy at the big box stores. I like the texture of the sponge that they sell for those. When my son bought a house, I wanted to get him one and I was so glad that they still carry it. So I ordered three more along with some refills. They came quickly and they’re so reasonably priced and I have always been thankful that I found these because the ones in the stores are not as good

Good enough
My favorite Scotch brand dish scrubbers have practically disappeared from the face of the earth (or are now crazy expensive) so there’s this. I don’t like that you can’t get it with the Scotch type GENTLE nonstick scrubber coating which is milder than those scratchy ones you can still occasionally find. The plain sponge is ok but not great for cleaning pans. Still i prefer something like this to always having to wet my hands to clear a dish so it will do for now. Kinda feels cheap so we’ll see how well it holds up.

Not what it used to be!
I have used these sponge sticks for years and love them. Recently I had to order a new one to replace a VERY old one I'd been using for some time. When I got it and filled it with soap it instantly began leaking through a bad spot in the plastic base where the sponge attaches and soap ran all over the handle and over saturated the sponge and generally made a mess. I was disappointed but chalked it up to - OK stuff happens - and just ordered another one to replace it. Got the new one and it leaks worse than the first one!! Apparently I have to find a new brand of these to use because these are no longer reliable. Very disappointing!!

Must have when doing just a few dishes!
I really like this sponge and handle combo! I have found I needed to open up the hole in the handle and the pathway in the sponge to get enough soap out. I use it every day and each sponge lasts for months!

Keep your crystal nice
I used to be able to get these at the grocery store. No more. All they have are "scrubbers." It seems the idea of a soft sponge is somehow "old news." Well, I need to be able to clean my crystal glasses without scouring them and without pushing my hand and a cloth down into them. They crack easily. So, if I can't get it any more at the brick and mortar store, I will go to Amazon. And use points. bought enough to last for years. Pour me another glass of wine, pls!

okay to use for a while
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE January 2022: I ordered two more of these sponges to replace this earlier one, which was a decent enough utensil. But then a section of the sponge tore off, so I got these two new ones. The problem is that upon trying one of them, the sponge will not get soapy. It's as if the soap won't make it through the hole into the sponge. Over the past three days using hot water I've tried massaging the sponge to coax the soap out but to no avail. Now I have to put a drop of dishwashing liquid on the 'outside' of the sponge each time I wash dishes. That's ridiculous. So then I tried the second sponge and it seems to be working so far. But I noticed that the first, non-working sponge is about 1/4 inch thinner (less deep) than the second sponge and more dense and the non-working sponge has a different shaped handle. It's flatter. Maybe it's defective??? Anyway, that's why I reduced my star rating from 4 to 3.I included photos of both sponges. The good one is on the left and the bad one is on the right. You can see the difference in how they lie and the sponge thickness. I also included a video showing how soapy the left good one gets but not the right bad one. I think the seller owes me another sponge like the one on the left. I noticed today that this item is currently 'unavailable' on Amazon.Original review: I got this as a replacement for a similar sponge device that is no longer being manufactured. Too bad because that one had a little net securely around the sponge to help it stay intact and add a scrubbing effect to dishes. It also had a straight handle. This sponge has and angled handle and not netting....just a sponge. It will work ok for light dish duty, but we'll see how it holds up over time. Perhaps I'll update this to five stars later if it holds up to numerous uses.
