Good meter, keep a ferrite choke on its power cord.
Great meter. Love the large backlit display. Readings seem similar compared to the built in power meter in my Yaesu radio. I powered it by USB cable and my transmitter ended up RFing the unit for a few seconds, I smelled smoke, but it recovered! Shame on me for RF in the shack, and the instructions almost but not quite talked about providing a 'good power' to the unit to keep it safe. It would be better just to say, "Put a ferrite choke on the power cord." Or maybe they could put one inside the product... :)Since then , it works fine despite the smoke. I love the forward, reflected and swr numbers that are easy to read. Good product overall.

Great Device
Great device. So much so that this is the second purchase so I can keep one in line with each transceiver. Do agree with the other reviewer that the battery life is not as long as some may like, however for the price and the fact that at the home shack I keep both connected to a 5vdc phone charger, it does what I want: monitors both power and SWR at the same time. When portable, just need to turn off after verifying the SWR (or use a phone "juice pack" to supplement the batteries).

This thang loves batteries but good overall
Make sure you turn it off when done or the batteries will be quickly zapped. Has a plug in for USB Charger. which I use but I've went through a many of batteries because I forgot to turn unit off when done for the night. Very compact and easy to use. Meter will not run without batteries, even plugged up to USB charger.

Not working apon arrival
NOT worth the money, mine was not functional at arrival. Did not waist time or money trying to get replacement unit.

Battery Hog
It works as advertised but you better keep a bunch of AAA batteries. Battery voltage sags as soon as the backlight is switched on. This is with newly installed alkaline batteries.

Just Works
I needed to measure my SWR for high frequency, so I picked up this unit. I had the analog version for VHF/UHF, so I was familiar with the brand. Plugging this in and testing my radio, I was blown away by how much better using a digital meter was over the analog. I may have to go back and replace my other one.Anyway, same as others, this does go through batteries. Plus, replacing the batteries means breaking out a screw driver. Where possible, plug it in to USB instead. Still, minor inconvenience for accurate measures. I'm pretty happy.

Works then it don't work. Only lasted 3 months.
The usb port stopped working. Battery life (4 hours) don't last in device. Very annoying.
