Q: Can someone confirm the type of plug (us, uk, european) it has?

Got mine in October 2020 with 2 pin European plug + adapter for UK 3 pin socket. Works just fine and I'm continuing to use the adapter, although I could easily rewire the plug.

Q: can it be used for clocks with platform escapements ?

It is designed for wristwatches although some pocket watches can be used. I cannot envisage how a clock could fit onto it.

Q: Does this machine tell you what movement calibration of an automatic?

No. if you set the machine to automatic, it can tell you the Beat Rate. How many beat pr. hour the movemet is "running" at, but it can not tell you what type of caliber you have. For instance if you place a seiko watch in the machien, it can not tell you what caliber type is in the watch.

Q: Size of display please

Display size is approx 98x35m/m. & is a good machine.

Quality piece of kit.

This is a quality piece of kit. Just clamp the watch in and it locks on to the ticking straight away. The only thing I would say is that if it ain’t a Rolex or Omega watch, real world wearing will differ from the Timegrapher reading. So use it to get it close, and then use it to tweak after wearing for a week.

Essential for the mechanical watch enthusiast

I've deducted one star for the awful manual, written in pidgin English. The device itself is excellent, with a very substantial microphone stand. This twists and turns so you can check the watch in different orientations. Very useful, if not essential, for any mechanical watch enthusiast. There's plenty of info on YouTube about how to use it.EDIT: Just a note - you can increase/decrease the microphone gain by pressing the up/down buttons while the timegrapher is running. A small bar chart will show at the top right of the display. Hope this helps.

Standard professional instrument

This is a must for all serious watch enthusiasts and watch repair pros. It also showed how some of my own brand new watches were not keeping very good time! Obviously it doesn’t work for quartz. The instructions are not very well written but an online search can quickly reveal how to use it correctly. It’s also very well made, the microphone being particularly sturdy. Recommended.
