VIAIR 6 ft. Air Extension Hose for Portable Compressors, Black, P/N 00016

I recently bought a new Stihl portable handheld compressor and this hose extension matched in looks and quality. I'm very pleased.

Wanted this to replace PowRyte Works Pistol Grip whip that got cut and also put me further away from the tire.Unfortunately, this is really an "extension" with schadder threads on both sides so it won't match the original whip threads. Too bad but I'll have to return it.The product is well constructed and the threads are well cut. I will work for you if you have your inflator original hose....

The media could not be loaded. The original hose on my air pump was getting worse out from so much use so I bought this to get a new swivel and add the quick chuck and it's great everything holds pressure and the chuck spins perfectly freely

This product does as advertised. Unfortunately that's not what I needed; if Amazon has pointed you here for an extension to a pipe-test ball-plug, this is not the product you need. The male end of the hose does not have a schrader value. That's not the fault of the seller and the item itself looks to be of good quality, so it gets four stars and amazon's recommendations gets zero.

INACCURATE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION BUT STILL NOT REFUNDABLE?!? -- The product description says "Portable Compressor Air Extension Hose", but this is NOT for a "portable" air compressor (which typically uses 1/4" hose and 1/4" NPT fittings -- I know this, because I have six "portable" and "personal" air compressors of various sizes for smaller tasks and to carry in my cars/trucks, and I also have one stationary 60-gallon air compressor for larger tasks).This hose is for a "personal" (or mini) air compressor that you would use to fill-up toys, balls or tires. By Amazon allowing vendors to have a NON-refund policy on products with INACCURATE descriptions is a complete DISGRACE!

The purpose I bought this for is to replace the old leaky hose on my 35 year old MDI/Meidai bicycle floor pump that I use to manually inflate tires with Schrader valve fillers. This new hose has standard Schrader valve threads on both ends; one end has male and the other has female. I cut off the male threaded end which I did not need,in order to connect it to the barbed hose connector on the bicycle pump. The inside diameter of this new hose is 1/4", exactly what I needed and exactly like the old hose it's replacing. This hose does not seem to specify exactly what material it is made of, but my educated guess is that it is a synthetic rubberized plastic that is resistant to oil and grease. The walls of the hose do not have any visible reinforcement braids or fibers; it is perfectly smooth and the walls are very thick. The fittings are brass and well machined; I tested them by first connecting them to each other to see if they screw on easily and then tested the female end to the Schrader valve threads on my filler adapter. In both cases it threaded easily. When I tested to see if the hose would inflate my tires, it held the pressure and inflated my tires. without any problem at all. At $5.60, the price for this hose was a fantastic deal compared to to buying some kind of kit or all the individual components separately. I'm thrilled to have been able to repair my old bicycle pump so inexpensively.
