How to installing a new watch buckle Step 1. Place the strap flat facing down. Step 2. Wedge the tongue into its recess at the middle of the strap. Its end tip should be curved upward. Step 3. While holding the tongue in place with your finger, glide the pin all the way through the hole of the strap. Step 4. Make sure the tongue is at an downward position because it needs to be set below the frame. Step 5. Insert one end of the pin into one of the holes on the inside of the frame. Step 6. With the forked end of your tool (or just with your fingernail), gently push down on the pin so that it may be wedged into the other hole of the frame. Narrower tongue than most buckle replacements, works to replace thin tongued watch buckle
Got the 16mm size to replace my Swatch buckle, which had a snapped tongue. Was worried this tongue would be too wide but was pleased to find I could fit the new tongue with the old buckle just fine! This tongue is just slightly wide/snug in the band, but it still fits.

Fit perfectly on GizmoGadget
The little arm on my son’s gizmo gadget buckle broke off and the replacement straps or buckles are freakishly overpriced so I decided to try this one. I will say that as someone with no experience with watch repair it wasn’t super easy to remove the old one and put the new one on. You really need to push that little pin in HARD with a push pin and then kind of horse it out. It would be great if it came with a little tool of the right size to push it in because I really had to do a Goldilocks search to try and find something small enough to fit the whole but also blunt enough to be able to push it in. But the end result is 10/10. The little arm in the buckle is a bit narrower than the original so it wiggles around a bit when it’s unlatched, but once it’s buckled it doesn’t budge. And now I have a couple extra in case my daughter’s breaks as well. This was a great purchase.
