very strong
So, I've had issues with my lips being chapped all the time, dry, thick tough skin that cracks. i've always had to carry lip balm and all that with me for many, many years. the past few years, i've realized that much of what they sell us, isn't the best for us to use; chemicals and whatnot. So, after changing out lotions and soaps and so much, i turned to the lips. i used carmex for helping to peal away the thick dry skin to reveal the soft and smooth skin. afterwards, i'd just use any basic lip balm that you can get(like the basic chapstick) to keep it going as long as possible. Initially, i turned to Moroccan magic, and that, just like so many others, leaves (for me) what i feel is like that tough thick stubborn oil that sticks to your stove top or your range hood(usually takes a heavy duty scrubbing and degreaser to remove). my lips would immediately get a dry thick skin that feels awful(i just liken it to sticky burnt on grease because these are loaded with oils and stuff). then, i'd have to go back to carmex to clear away that thick skin. so, this walrus oil for me works like carmex. it's pretty strong and helps to remove the thick dry skin that i really dont like. however, if i continue using it, it'll actually make my lips sore and sensitive. it seems too strong. so, what i do, i drop a good layer of walrus oil, then apply a light layer of moroccan magic and then a tiny bit of Superlan. then, im good for a long time and it take so long before my lips need work again(peeling/removing thick skin) or any additional applications. best of all, even though this is a lot to use and have on hand, its all safer than chapstick and carmex..i believe. and yeah, i've tried superlan solo, and again, yep..thick dry skin buildup and it isn't good alone. yes, superlan is telling the truth that a little goes a long, long way, but it isn't good on its own for me. so, walrus oil helps to peel the thick dry skin and cut the oils and waxes from the other lip blams or whatever - for me superlan and moroccan magic.

Yaaay!
Something in most lip balms makes my throat itchy. This does not. It's a harder balm, which I like. Lasts forever. Smells great, like cloves.

Satisfying
This is the rich, plant-based lip balm I’ve been looking for 🥹 I’ve lived in WA and TX, and this works great for both areas, all seasons. It feels and smells wonderful, and the design of the container fits in my pocket better than other designs. 10/10!

Good, but not perfect
This product is a little difficult to apply, as there's small granules inside that prevent it from sliding well on my lips. Once applied, it feels and smells nice. Not particularly long lasting. Overall decent, but I am hesitant on purchasing more.

Best product for protection from- and chapped lips EVER!!!!
This stuff is so safe, I use it on my face under my makeup in the winter as an added moisture barrier. I use Seint makeup which is cream based and it’s THE BEST!!!! Don’t take my word for it, TRY IT FOR YOURSELF AND THEN THANK ME!!!!!! They also have a hand balm/salve that is hands down THE BEST ON THE MARKET!!!!!!

Fell short of expectations but still a good product
Where the product fell flat for me was its flavor/scent and its consistency. I really liked the simple packaging and shape of the stick. The balm applies smoothly and can be layered on fairly thick if need be. The balm stays on even with sipping a drink, eating and smoking. It doesn’t have that waxy flavor like brand name Chap-Stic does (which I loathe). But I had expected this to melt and absorb a bit, it really just sits on top of and protects the skin. Perhaps that was an oversight on my part - I assumed the name Walrus Oil meant this was oil based or would melt into my lips the way an oil based balm would but this is much thicker, I just wanted it to be a bit more conditioning. While this is a complaint for me, this is still a great product. It’s actually for more protecting than I expected. This really would be excellent for someone who works outside or for someone who likes winter sports (skiing, snowboarding etc). The other complaint I had was the flavor/scent. This balm tastes completely plain to me. It’s labeled as being peppermint and clove scented but I get nothing - just beeswax. There’s no ‘tingle’ like you get from a traditional peppermint lip balm and no warmth from the cloves. Perhaps they intended for the product to have very little scent since men this would be marketed toward typically don’t care for that but I like the strong scent and tingle of a balm with lots of peppermint or clove. While this is still a good product and would be a great gift for a specific type of person (probably an older man or a man who works outside, perhaps people who are turned off by strong scents) it didn’t really “do it” for me. I wanted this to be amazing - “the balm I’ve hoped for my entire life” which would’ve been protective but conditioning and offered equal parts soothing plus protection with that little punch of scent to open your sinuses in the winter months. It’s just a plain ol’ lip balm with a flat to non existent scent, thick and protective like a beeswax. I think I’ll keep it for the dry skin on my fingers. I love to use waxy balms for dry cuticles, cracked knuckles and dry patches in the New England winters. It helps a lot when you need something more than lotion and don’t want to feel slick with vaseline or oil. This really would be perfect for a Logger but if you’re looking for a balm that has the properties I described try Lip Freak’s buzzing lip balm. It does everything I described but it does have a weird “buzzing” sensation that fades away. Some people don’t care for that. I love it. Hoped this would be similar.

Great lip balm
Everything, up until I bought this, makes my lips peel. This does not. I actually got all the way though to the bottom of the tube without any peeling. I like it so much I just bought more. It smells great too.
