This met all my expectations!
I just installed the new button from A29 to replace an old button so it's too early to know if there will be a rusting issue as mentioned by a previous reviewer. This button, which has an antique brass finish, appears to be very well made. The base plate is fairly thick metal. The wiring hub" on the back of the plate (for the wiring connection) does not project very far from the back of the plate and fit into the existing hole, which was about 5/8" in diameter. The connection to the existing wiring was very simple. The mounting holes are 2-1/2" apart which is what I had determined by scaling the photo on the Amazon website. This was very important to me because this matched the holes in my old button. Overall I'm extremely satisfied.

Quality Vintage Feel
As an electrician was re-wiring my 130-year-old house I found this doorbell and had to have it by the front door (which is the original front door). You have to buy a separate chime kit and chime cover. The electrician wired this doorbell from the front door to the chime in a hallway which can be heard throughout the house. He also wired a regular doorbell to the back door, the kind of doorbell with a push button that lights up. It's all wired to the same chime. I love it and think the front doorbell looks authentic to the house! Of course, I never could have wired it all myself so am grateful to the electrician. It's quite a pleasing feeling to see that charming doorbell by the front door and to imagine how many people have crossed that threshold since 1895!

Make sure you measure to cover wiring hole!
Loved the product but didn’t measure hole. Fortunately, the same company had a rounded pate & it looks great.

looks nice
There seems to be a problem with the pushbutton, it turns around and sometimes will not ring.

Nice small brushed oil rubbed bronze doorbell
Just had our house exterior painted and the generic plastic doorbell needed upgraded. I found this small doorbell that even has a oil rubbed bronze push button so it looks really nice and fits in the small area next to our trim. The doorbell is thick metal and has a nice design on it and installing was easy peazy..unhook old and rebook wires onto the back of the new and done! Great quality doorbell!

Lovely and Unique
I didn't want to add a white plastic doorbell to a color coordinated home with darker hues. This is a beautiful addition to our front door.

Nice looking at 3 feet
The plate looks very nice. The button, however is typical cheapo Chinese! Upon testing it, it didn't always work. Examining it, I see no reason for the button not to be lighted, which I would prefer.
