Soft as described, great on acoustic set and handpan too!
I was wanting soft mallets and this is what I wanted! Maybe wood underneath or hard rubber ball but the super soft felt type material on the outside gives the perfect tones when using on acoustic set especially cymbals! It's a beautiful sound that resonates perfectly!! Also I wanted super soft mallets for my handpan I just got last week the hard rubber mallets hit too sharp for me I wanted something that will pull sounds out that my hands can't reach and those hard rubber mallets hit too hard no matter how softly you tap!! These are perfect!!!! And the handles are JUST RIGHT!!!!! Just short enough (not too long or skinny like some soft yarn timpani mallets I have) plus the grooves on the handles helps me hold on to them easier, no slip grip!!!! Now I know where to order from again should I ever need more!!!! Thank you!!!!!!! 🙏❣️💯🥰

For the Drummer of Percussionist in Your Life
My drummer really appreciated this gift. He had lost his mallets, and I replaced them with these last Christmas. They are of a good quality for the price. They are suitable for the professional musician.I found they are excellent for cymbal swells. They are a little soft for tom tom work. If you want a sharper attack on the tom, I would suggest harder mallets, perhaps rubber, but these are serviceable if one uses a sharp blow.

Mallets for Grandson
Grandson is not playing the instrument which requires this type of mallet. He will later on. There was no problem with the product...just thought since he did not need at this time I would return. Anyway, I ended up keeping them. At least he will be able to use them when he is in the 7th and 8th grade as his add on his use of percussion instruments.

Not for cymbal swells at all
They are way too hard for cymbals. Don't waste the money drummers. I had to cave and just go ahead and get the more expensive meinl mallets that are super soft which I haven't received yet. Hopefully they will work better than this trash
