No Need For Irwin Again!
I was really happy with my old Irwin clamps...and when I tried these they blew me away. In terms of features, they aren't especially different than Irwin clamps; they can both become spreaders by switching the heads around, and both have rubber on the jaws to protect the workpiece. However, if you have two of these Jorgensen clamps, you can combine them into one super clamp that would make even the Constructor Squad jealous. So maybe that's not nearly as great as just having a large pipe-clamp on-hand; it's still a neat and quite functional feature. Really though, what makes it for me is that these clamps are made of sturdier materials, and they clamp more powerfully than the basic Irwin clamps do. I've used these on a lot of woodworking jobs, and if I had to start my toolbox over, these would be one of the first things on my list to acquire.

Now my best bar clamp
I have a growing collection of bar clamps of various sizes & types. I've never had one made by Jorgensen before because of the price, but I was getting fed up with others slipping, breaking internally, etc. etc.This is now my most favoritist clamp of all. I'll be getting more, for sure. It absolutely doesn't slip or creep on the bar & the soft faces on the jaws grip various materials & surfaces better than any other.I'm not wild about the location of the release trigger. The cheaper clamps are handier in this respect. But in all other ways, the clamp is so superior, I still give it 5 stars. Thank You Jorgensen.....

The clamp is great, but
The clamp is great, but I'm removing a star because the seller is showing a photo of 2 clamps and I received 1 and realized the description says 1. So it's 1 - 18" clamp for a whopping $42, the pic should show 1 clampIMHO. I kept it, it is a good product. Then later I found same exact one in 24" 2 pack on ebay for the same $42 and bought them.Awesome Clamps but misleading description.

Sturdy
Excellent clamp. Bought two of the ponies, and two larger. Used for fence building to hold rails while I screwed them to posts. Also used them for holding glued wood projects. Outstanding quality of materials and design.

Very happy with mine!
The mechanism for releasing the grip works better than the others in my opinion. Very happy with my two 18" spreader/clamps. I used the spreader to hold wooden blocks tight against the wall while I drilled, when I was closing up a 20" pass-through from kitchen to dining room. Pricey but worth it.

Great Clamps, need more sizes now.
These clamps work pretty well. Being able to connect them together for a really long is pretty cool. Now I just need to get more in a variety of sizes so that I am covered for all my future projects.
