I have used the road devil mic for years.
I really like the road devil mic. The mic helps cut out the background noise going on and at the same time picks up you voice and broadcasts it in a great sounding high quality audio. I picked this up for a new radio I picked up. I have tried many mics over the years and the road devil seems to work well with my voice. My dad had to use the D-104M6B because it seemed to pickup his voice better and sounded better for him. Maybe because I have used it for so long, but it feels much better in my hand than 95% of the mics that I've tried. Some guys have tried mine and liked them better than what they had been using and they went out and bought road devil mics for themselves. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with a road devil mic. You can boost the gain a little if you need, to make your radio sound louder. Like I said I have a few and I have used them for years now and I just picked this one up for a new radio.

Smh I don't even know what to say
I hooked the mic up it worked for a day and it went to crap. Next day it didn't work. Changed the battery and noticed 3 of the wire wasn't connected....clueless on where they go. I knew the case was cheaply made, and not much time in the wiring....it pisses me off that I paid good money for junk. Don't get a refund or sends you another mic. I told them I'll mail the broke one back. SMH nope...whatever happened to pleasing the customer ....

Good working mic
Good, working mic, buddies say they can hear me clearly. You do have to put in a 9V battery.

Astatic mics
Ok quality microphone. Astatic does not make the quality product it once did however they still do sound all right. The power slide on the side location isn't ideal and should be relocated as it is easily slid by accident

Cheap cheap CHEAP quality. Did I say cheap quality!??!
Very loud, great sounding Mike, but wow does the quality suck. Was this thing actually made in China in the 1940s? I can't believe how cheap the quality is. Yes. It really is THAT bad. Imagine the cheapest quality electronic item you own. This is worst. Very thin cable, no plastic strain relieve at the connector end. Ptt feels sloppy, makes a rattling sound. Cheap cheap cheap hard plastic shell. The mic is bigger than it should be. Seems like this is technology from the 1970s, and it probably is! Can't we get an update for 202!??!?!

Cheap! Possibly a knock-off!
This is horrible compared to my other non powered Astatic mic. Seems cheap and flimsy. Fell apart installing the battery - PTT button is flimsy and cheap. Sound quality is lacking. Sound quality lacking. This is nothing compared side to side with my other Astatic mic. Avoid.
