9590-PU Onyx Vantage 9590 Finger Oximeter, 359mm x 330mm x 323mm, Purple

My previous oximeter cost less than a fifth of this one - but I trust this one more than 5 times as much. I have consistently been able to get readings on adults, children and even babies and I have rarely had a reading I did not believe - and when there has been such a reading it has corrected after a few seconds. At this price my only caveat is that I hope it lasts a while. I have found it easier to get readings on young children and babies with this than any other oximeter I have tried including larger and more expensive Nonin oximeters. The build quality at first looked a little plasticky but after using it for a while it does seem fairly solid. The purple colour is brighter than the picture suggests and stands out in a cluttered medical bag which for me is an important feature as I don't use it enough to need the round the neck lanyard it comes with and bright colours are never a bad thing for something I use to invade a child's personal space I think.
