Logitech Harmony 950 Touch IR Remote Control for up to 15 Entertainment Devices (Renewed)

I have a collection of Video Games, and smart home items and I needed a solution to reduce the amount of controllers at my home. I did a lot of research online and I didn't really find many options for smart remotes on the market, but after a little time and research I decided to go with this Logitech and the Hub.The controller is definitely the most expensive on the market. I decided to purchase refurbished on amazon and I am very pleased with the item received.The functionality of the remote is good, although I believe there's a lot that it could improve. Add items seems pretty straight forward, and I didn't have much issue to setup the whole thing. But I think the options for the customization are really limited, and not very straight forward when setting up devices that aren't that popular. Although I have very satisfied with the fact that even if the app can't find the brand, model, etc, you can still setup as a random item, and configure the IR controller of the item to be used with this RF controller.I have some, not branded lights at my house that uses those cheap IR controllers, and it did work really well to setup with this device. I use this remote for everything. My setup is a TCL tv, pioneer receiver, PS3, Spectrum cable box, ecobee thermostat, etc. Unfortunately Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft doesn't allow you to power on their new consoles (switch, ps4/ps5, xbox one) with other controllers. But after the PS4 be turned on you can also use the controller to connect the device.Alexa functionality is limited but it works pretty well. Some commands you will need to say "Alexa, tells my harmony to turn on the volume". you can't just say turn on the tv volume, or even say to switch from one channel to another (unless you actually create a routine on Alexa to do so). You can definitely customize a lot of things, but if you are not tech savvy it will be VERY challenge.Big problems about this remote: Sometimes the remote doesn't really turn on certain devices on the right order and the one tap functionality doesn't really work correctly, so you have to tap again or tap fix it for me. Even if you use the delay function on the configuration still doesn't fix some issues. I wish they would allow you to change the order of certain things on the app so you could configure better.I definitely recommend this item as it saves my time to find controllers, and to control everything I have on my living room. But it is definitely expensive and the functionality could have improvements for sure. Maybe on the future.

I love the remote! It works flawlessly.This remote paired with the hub is just just amazing!The touch screen is not as good as a smart phone but very close.It feels good in hand and is beautiful to look at. I never thought I would be excited about a remote.I found myself looking at and laughed because admiring a REMOTE😆One of the reasons I bought it is for control of my lifx lights and they work great!I can turn on and off all of my lights for movie night. The 4 buttons on the bottom of the remote can be assigned to do just about anything. The rocker in the middle can be used to dim them.Once I had all my activities set up and “tuned” everything works with one touch every time.Setup is extremely easy, it walks you through everything.One of my favorite things about the set up is that is lets you dial in a delay to any step in the sequence of commands.This is what makes the “one touch on” when an activity is selected so reliable.you can even change the background image of the touchscreen.You can download icons of your choice from the net for activities.Charge time is good enough.It usually sits at half charge after two days of use.The only reason for 4 out of 5 stars is the fact that the remote as received had hand prints and smudges all over and still had the previous owners settings.As if this was just returned by someone and shipped to me?This is very unprofessional, come on guys...I feel that I got lucky this time because works.Still very much worth it because half price.I also bought the hub as renewed and it also works flawlessly.

Just works. Controls my hue, Lutron shades and switches, and of course all the restXbox series X support is IR onlyPs5 not working - had to make a ps3 to make it work!

Ordered a “renewed” product and not only was it missing the charging base it couldn’t be activated as it was blocked by Logitech as a defective unit and can’t be activated. Returning it and cautioning others to beware.
