The perfect solution !!
I cook three eggs at once for myself and found that 2:12 is the perfect time for runny yolks and firm whites the way that I like them.I'm in the Denver area at 5,280 ft. elevation and that might factor into the cooking time. I also put the water in all four trays to keep everything equal in regards to temperature in the microwave. This is an awesome product, nothing could be quicker or easier that I am aware of.

Easy and clean on 1st attempt
I filled two diagonal cups and got nearly perfect poached eggs using half power on my 1000 watt microwave in under five minutes. I didn't use any cooking spray and the poacher and cups rinsed perfectly clean using nothing but hot water, I only bothered with soap on principle. No issues with water in my eggs because I was patient enough to shake out as many drops as I could before dumping my eggs in a bowl. One reviewer was disgusted by putting the eggs where the water goes, but that's exactly how a poached egg is made and all you have to do is pay attention to your food when plating it to avoid watery eggs. If I didn't know the eggs had been microwaved, I wouldn't have been able to tell vs. one simmered in a pan. You could dump the water out after cooking the eggs and use the same tray as a bowl for toast dipping if you wanted to and minimize dishes. Nice bang for buck with this product.

Regret purchase.
It made poached eggs but most of white was stuck in the slotted cups. Then cleaning the cups was messy. This will go to goodwill this week. Sistema sells great products, but this item is not one of them.

Beyond disappointing. Don’t waste tour money.after
After reading the description it appeared this would be easy to use and make great poached eggs. Not so. It was difficult to determine the proper amount of water. When poached, the water was supposed to drain out of the egg cups leaving the properly poached yolk and white Only the area around the yolk had attempted to set up. The whites had broken down, not forming a proper white with the yolk resting in the middle. About a tablespoon worth of egg white had set up. The rest of the white had mixed with the water and the water was a murky white mess that could only be thrown out. The tiny poached eggs were really sad. My dog liked the one I gave her. That’s the only thing good thing I can find to say about this very disappointing item

Decent poacher~ especially for the price
First, for those who are ‘disgusted’ by the egg in the water.... that IS how an egg is poached. Google it.If your eggs are exploding ~ you may want to check the time you set your microwave for... eggs usually only explode when the yoke is well over cookedThe eggs do not have to be at room temperature to use. I used cold, worked fine. I used warm water~ and a bit less than the fill line. Worked fine. The eggs were a little inconsistently cooked ~ that can happen with poaching. Everything cleaned up fine, no major sticking. I like that I can do 4 eggs at a time.Is this going to win culinary awards? Nope. Is it a quick way to poach eggs? Yup.

Great product
This is perfect for poaching. What I appreciate is that the egg holders sit in the holders above the bottom of the tray they sit in. I've used it many times. Getting the timing for microwaving takes a little figuring as I like mine not runny. I think it has to do with the wattage. Make sure to pull each basket out and tip over onto a plate right away as they can stick, but not enough to be a problem. I just clean the unit right away to get residual egg off. Very pleased.
