Not a midi cable
As others have mentioned, this cable is not useful for connecting midi devices.I thought I could use it to connect a midi controller to a TRS midi input, but it is not capable.

Not a MIDI cable (not MIDI A or MIDI B)
I tested and this didn't work with Korg NTS1 so I checked the pinout. This cable appears to be wired with T=4, R=1, S=2 which is not standard. The most common MIDI A cable would be T=5, R=4, S=2 and MIDI B would be T=4, R=5, S=2. This cable is obviously neither of those. In fact, it doesn't look like it would work as a MIDI cable at all, because the 5-pin DIN connector normally has Current Source (Vcc) on pin 5 and Current Sink (Data) on 4, and this only connects one of those, so it would seem that this cable can't possibly work as a MIDI cable on any setup.I think the description for this item is wrong, and it's probably not a MIDI cable at all.
