Work great, easy to use
Lose sushi and wanted to start trying to make my own at home finally. Had to do some reading to figure it out, here's some tips for people or "I wish I knew beforehand" stuff. You don't need a sushi mat, helpful maybe but 100% not needed, you can get the same thing with a paper towel. What I found works best is get a full sheet paper towel and wet it. Wring out ALL the water so that it's just damp. Lay the wrap on top of it and press down lightly. You can't just roll the dried out wrap you need to get it a little moist, A LITTLE. as you're putting in your rice and toppings it will absorb the moisture the the towel and rice to loose it up. Then you can use the paper towel to help roll it or at least get it started the same way you would with a sushi mat.Don't use a serrated knife to cut the role it will tare the sheet up, you need a smooth edge VERY SHARP knife to cut them. Sometimes I have to poke a small incision into the roll to get it started.Taking them out of the bag without breaking them was challenging so I just cut open the bag and put them into a large freeze zip-lock with the moisture absorb pack. Careful with storage, they will break easily and keep them in a cool dry place as it says but I also suggest out of sunlight.Side note, they do have a little bit of a strange taste to them and the Cali Prop 65 warning slightly concerned me with that in mind. I'll probably try to find a higher end brand in the future but just starting out and wanting something cheap to give it a shot they work great.
