This is a great choice for beginners. I've never tried grommets before, so starting with this was a great experience. However, the reason as to why I could not give this Five Stars is the silver grommets didn't work as they should have. Maybe they weren't meant for thinner material, but whatever the cause, I wouldn't recommend using the silver grommets as it nearly ruined my project. The colored grommets work perfectly! I recommend using those.

Bought this pack for the colored grommets, but I only got silver. So this won't really work for what I need. But it does what it's suppose to I guess

Very easy to use. Love the variety of colors of eyelets.

Very sturdy and great value for money however, I have to press a few times at different angles if not the backing will stay up and cut you.

I was reluctant to purchase this item after reading the bad reviews but because of Amazon's return policy I knew that I could return the item if I was dissatisfied with it. I purchased it and I was pleased with the results. If you take your time and pay attention to what you're doing it's a breeze. I imagine the bad reviews were because of customers misuse.

It is a great tool for the price. If you follow the direction and use it in the correct positioning it does not crack the eyelets. It is just very hard to clamp. I can only do a few at a time as it hurts. I thought it was just me but even my husband had some difficulty. If not for that I would love it.

I liked this. It took a few mistakes to learn how to use the tool but it is worth it. I love the different colors of the eyelets and they really made my outfit functional. I used it to make a corset style sweatshirt

I replaced the shoe lace straps on my running shoes with eyelets and they work great

The pliers are strong and easy to hold and use, lots of eyelets supplied with different sizes and colours. My only negative is the size between the pins and throat of pliers is small which limits some applications. On the whole great tool.

The eyelets are ok but the tool sucks.
