Great fun
Simple. Great game. Did take a few of the ‘wicket’ cards out so can score a little more highly and game last a little longer… but great fun!

Gift for cricket obsessed 8 year old
Went down well as a gift for a cricket obsessed 8 year old. Illustrations are playful and insightful enough that even cricket newbies can play along. Handy size for travel too. Recommend.

Make your own rule set to vastly improve the game.
So, understsnd that this is a dull game if you simply use the rules provided: It is entirely random. There is zero skill involved, you just turn over cards. That's it.HOWEVER: you can make more of it by developing the rulesFor example: Take some of the "bat" cards out the pack and give them to the batsman. Before each bowler card is drawn, the batsman can choose to play a "bat" card from his hand, and, if he does so, this negates whatever the bowler has.Conversely, take the "howzat"? Cards out and give them to the bowler. He can choose to play these from his hand instead of playing a card from the pack. Now you introduce an element of skill - when to draw from the deck and when to play from your hand. This much improves the game. It's a pity more thought wasn't put into this, because a few extra cards (say a DRS review joker card?!) could have made it a much better game.

Not quite what I was expecting!
Hmm. Disappointing. Manage to finish an innings in less than ten minutes. Not like the dice cricket of old. The Batsmen cards are not needed.
