A great way to feel some 10Gbps love
Switched (ha) my boring home 1 Gbps switch in my office for this one.3x 10Gbps ports means the "backbone" of my network will be 10 Gbps. It lets you have a few "fast" devices interconnected (main desktop in one location, NAS in another, etc). Will it make your internet faster? Well no. Will it make your home network faster? Definitely.Overall this switch is a good compromise between price and speed. Get a few 10 Gbps ports, don't spend $10,000 on a 10 Gbps switch. It's ugly, but there's literally no other options on the market at this price besides the MikroTik 5-port SFP+ switch which I will eventually get to terminate the other end of my home 10 Gbps backbone.

Great (Ugly) Switch for a (Limited) 10G Network
This switch works like a charm. My network has only two machines (Desktop and NAS) with 10GBE, so this switch is perfect and let me clean up some of the clutter created by my old setup (10GBE direct connection, 8 port switch, cables everywhere) while leaving room for a second NAS if my digital hoarding continues. Performance is great and I've experienced no issues with connectivity.Downsides? Well, the LED lights are BRIGHT and green. The unit is fairly ugly - in a way that they clearly tried to make something prettier, but failed. Also, the power plug is strange. When you look at the unit and see the strange green cylinder at the rear, that's actually the power plug. Can I fault them for trying to make a switch look like something other than a gray/black box? I guess not, and it's definitely not worth taking a star away for something that will live in my closet. At only slightly more expensive than a MikroTik switch with one more SFP+ and seven fewer 1GBe ports, this was the easy choice since it allowed me to have a single switch. I'm a fan and would recommend it. But, Qnap, does it come in black?

great cheap 10 gigabit option
good for a small setup, very quiet (by far the quietest piece of equipment in my homelab).limited functionality, since it's an unmanaged switch with only a few ports, but if you just need the ability to add up to 3 10 gig connections it's great.

Wish it had one more 10gb port.
Had this for just under a year, aside of it being a little fiddly to get DAC cables out I've had no problems. Not sure why one person criticized this for having SFP+ ports when it's clearly labeled "3-Port 10G SFP+ and 8-Port Gigabit Unmanaged Switch" but there you go. Now at the point where I'm about to use up the last 10GB port (NAS, main workstation, new VM server in my homelab) so I guess it's time to start hunting for a new switch but until I add another 10gb device this has and I assume will continue to serve me well.

Home Lab Special!
Pretty perfect for a home lab. Throw in a couple 10gig nics. You always take a chance with compatibility but everything worked super easy right out the box! Great value for the product. Delivery was fast. Packaging and instructions were appropriate.

Does not work with multiple computers using Intel X520 adapters
Rather than use a daisy chain for three computers with Intel X520DA2 adapters I picked up one of these. I had to RMA it because it did not work for the SFP+ ports. Then I checked with 10GTech to determine if other cables were needed. They spoke with QNAP and determined that this switch is NOT compatible with Intel X520DA2 cards, although they never admitted this to me.

Works great out of the box! Transceivers NOT getting stuck
The Switch is working great with my ATT Fiber 5Gbps connection. I'm able to get full speeds to my desktop PC using 10g Ethernet transceivers in the SFP+ ports with one more available for a second desktop PC to receive the full speed. Have all of my other devices such as the PS5 and XBSX connected to the standard gigabit ports and getting up to 1gbps speeds there as well. Some other reviews complained about the transceivers getting stuck, I can vouch that this is definitely not the case with my unit. Maybe it's updated, but they do not sit flush with the plastic at all and are easy enough to pull in and out without any issue in the event I want to move them to a new switch.

Works fine, but might have trouble fitting on rack
The switch seems to get good performance and meets my needs fine (10GbE connection from NAS to editing workstation), but its tall height and lack of rack ears or supports makes it hard to fit in a 1u space. Even on the shelf I rested it on, the switch has to orient itself slightly angled up. If you know you're not going to be rack mounting this, it works fine, but I wish there was a way to slot this in a 1u space easily.
