Just got these and installed them into a soffit facing onto my deck. Installation was easy and the sound quality is quite respectable for the price. Will definitely qualify that statement by saying I'm not an audiophile though. I noticed other reviewers saying they rust easily over a year's time. Will update if this happens.

Out of the box I couldn't install these speakers because one of the speaker clips was broken and the wire would fall out.When I tried to return it as defective I was informed that it could not be shipped back. due to some obscure regulation.Amazon said they would ship a free replacement. I told them not to, but it got shipped anyway. Amazon then said to refuse it when UPS tried to deliver it. I did this otherwise I'd have been stuck with another one that couldn't be returned if it didn't work. Amazon promptly refunded my payment.These might be good sounding speakers but when they arrive defective right out of the box it doesn't create much confidence in the product and I wasn't interested in being stuck with something that couldn't be returned if it wasn't good.Amazon needs to show on the product description that these speakers can not be returned.

I bought this as a replacement for the speaker for a 20 year old door bell system. It's works great and looks good too!!

I put a pair of these on my boat. They are mounted outside and exposed to the elements. Long story short, they are rusting, filling up with water, and degrading rather fast. They might last a single season, which is not acceptable for me. Two season is bare minimum in my book, no matter how cheap.Bottom line: these are NOT for the outdoors unless you have them completely protected such as under a roof or canopy. Waterproof? No. But they do run wet, which is not the same. Sound quality is not good at all. They sound like a intercom or walkie talkie...no bass or mid range, just tinny and screechy. I have a pair of Sony Xplod 6x9s on the same head unit (which cost less) and they sound so much better, so it's not a head unit problem.Here's where you should use these:Covered outdoor patio, gazebo (with roof), inside of a boat such as the salon, atrium, or garage.Here's who should own these:Someone who doesn't care about sound quality. These are for someone who just wants sound that is louder than an smart phone and not willing to pay for decent bluetooth speaker box.

Fantastic sound for the price, installed them outside by the pool. Bracket holders attached to the speaker bolts did not work but had a workaround. Would buy them again. tksOrdered another pair, sounds great, tks

For the small size and low price, these speakers are a super value. I have extensively compared them side-by side with much more expensive speakers, and they compare very well. Make sure and connect them to a source that has tone controls, because being so small, they naturally put out the highs much more than the low-midrange and lows. To get full sound, they need to be coupled with a subwoofer that can crossover pretty high, like somewhere between 120 and 180 Hz, because these speakers won't give you any tone below that range, so without a subwoofer, you'll most likely be disapointed. However, every speaker this size, and even some a bit bigger, I've tried have the same problem, so this should be expected. I don't know about the mounting, because I use them sitting on my kitchen counter. I wish they had instructions about how to remove the grills, because I've tried, and I can't figure it out. Everthing considered these speakers are a super value for their size.

They are mounted in my back patio and they sound great and so far putting up with the weather.

Tried the speakers on my stereo inside before I mounted them on our screened porch. They sounded OK for their size. They lasted about an hour on the back porch before one speaker failed.

Quanto ao som é bastante bom para estar num espaço exterior. Ainda não sei a resistencia a chuva pois ainda não choveu a sério sendo esse o meu receio. Por enquanto satisfeito.

Los compré porque cambié un 5.1 por un 7.1 y me faltaban 2 altavoces, la calidad de sonido es muy buena, posiblemente siga cambiando los antiguos altavoces por estos.

All seemed good when first put up outside last year. Speakers have since severely rusted and one of the speakers has now stopped working. Definitely not outdoor or meant to be left outdoors

Pretty nice little speakers with very decent mid- and high-frequency response. Good for voice announcements, what I have them to do. They are set on a 30-Watts RMS audio amplifier, and they are pretty much their max. Their actual capacity is nowhere near 300-watts, beleive me. I used them this week outside at -15C (5F): they worked just as well.Very happy. I which they would have banana jacks, hense my 4-stars rating.
