Very good vacuum cleaner and an excellent solution overall
I am definitely a convert when it comes to robot vacuum cleaners, and they have been in the market for a reasonably long time now. Started off super skeptical about it, but I am happy to report that it has far exceeded my expectations.Setting up the Roomba for first use was relatively straight-forward, though it does take a while (couple of runs at least) to build the map of the house. Using it after that is fairly quick and easy. All the controls are via the smartphone app. There are a couple of buttons on the machine itself, but they don't offer any of the configurability that the app offers. For example, with the app you can have Roomba clean one (or more) rooms that you select. The vacuum suction power is reasonable for such a small device and it is able to pick up most of the dust & small particles from the floor. In fact, I am always amazed at the amount of dust that I throw out when I empty its dust bin. I have used it on tiled flooring on which it seems to do a pretty good job. But if you have a hardwood floor, your mileage might vary. One thing I try to do is to pick up or move random stuff off the floor as much as possible to give Roomba a free run. It can get stuck on wires and such, as one might imagine. It doesn't do a particularly good job with the corners, behind the door, etc... but hey, it's an automated machine after all. Also, worth mentioning that the features mostly work as advertised. I have only had trouble with its Alexa integration (worked very inconsistently), but that may just be an issue with my Alexa devices rather than Roomba itself. One thing worth pointing out is that its dustbin is relatively small. This means it has to be emptied pretty much on a daily basis. Other than that, it requires a thorough cleaning (removing hair rolled up on the wheel spindle and the rotating brush, washing the dustbin, cleaning the dust filter, cleaning the rollers at the bottom, etc.) at least once a week. Might take up to 15 mins, depending on how thorough one wants to be. But its something to kept in mind since its performance can really suffer without this regular maintenance.I have been using Roomba for almost 6 weeks now and frankly I love it. I dread using the regular vacuum cleaner because of the effort involved in dealing with connecting to power supply, carrying the thing around the house and the overall time/effort involved. Roomba eliminates all of that and best of all I can have it run while I am doing other things, including work from home. From a noise perspective, it isn't silent but nothing too bad -- though, I wouldn't have it running in the background while on a work call! Now of course, it doesn't replace house help and it doesn't eliminate the need to mop the floors once in a while. But with limited help around the house, I have found Roomba to be an excellent device and I would have no hesitation in recommending it highly.

Simply Outstanding!!
If you want an outstanding robot vacuum, here it is! After Covid struck and our domestic help was barred from the building I decided to shop around for a robot to do the daily cleaning. My online research indicated that the i7 was a very competent and reliable choice - there are plenty of reviews online including on Amazon.com. So I took the plunge and went in for the i7 and do not regret it.The i7 is an advancement over the previous models with an easy to use interface via the app and advanced mapping function. Let it learn the layout of your home for a few dummy runs and it's good to go. The key to a great user experience is to regularly clean its rollers and emptying the bin after each use or when it gets full. There is also a maintenance schedule detailed on the irobot website should be followed to ensure your bot is in tip-top condition. Get a stock of spares - rollers, filter and edge sweeping brush and you are all set! I do not have carpets in my home so did not encounter any problems reported with thick pile rugs - on my hard flooring it has no problems whatsoever.Pros:- Fantastic suction, keeps the floors spic and span!- After proper training runs to form a map of your home, it pretty much does its job without a fuss.- "Learns" to avoid obstacles after the mapping gets completed.- The "keep out" zones are a good feature and prevent it from going to places where it may get stuck- Can clean a part of your home, or even a single room when you want. The scheduling option is an added plusCons- Several reviewers have pointed out that a bigger bin would have helped, and I agree. Get used to having to empty the bin after one or two runs depending on the area to be cleaned- The India distributor does not appear to be well stocked on spares, so be prepared to wait and plan to buy in advance of your requirement.Well, that's pretty much all I have to say. Bottom line - if you want an advanced bot to clean your home largely unsupervised, go for the i7!!By the way, I am now tempted to buy the m6 mop, which has similar mapping functionality and has good reviews.

Mops cleainly and Makes life easy but fails on floor with transition strips
Quality of cleaning is awesome and precision is high. Able to mop our 2100 sqft apartment in single charge and single water refill. We have all Wooden and Marble floor in home and it works like a charm on these floors.Initially it gave a lot of trouble.1. It was not able to cross the transition strips at door between marble and wooden floor (Pic attached). I have to deal with many difficulties to get those strips replaced with some pvc stickers(pic attached).2. I was often getting error that robot could not connect to cloud(pic attached). Raised many compliments to irobot support. It seems after the latest software upgrade on robot I am not facing these issues any more.3. Disinfecting liquid is really expensive and the company should think about sourcing it locally to reduce the cost.In times of Covid the robot is a good investment to save time and energy in mopping work. It really is an awesome invention and work great.
