Beautifully Serene & Relaxing
Although DoTerra oils are pricey, they last long and carry a nice, subtle fragrance. I love Serenity because it's a blend of so many different relaxing oils it feels like I'm getting more value from one little bottle.

Serene Indeed!
Before starting this I want to first make it clear that this is an honest and unsolicited review (as God is my witness). I suspect there is a lot of stuff out there that is "planted" by doTerra to promote their products. I should also say that I DEPLORE the whole marketing scheme of this company, which works similar to Amway and the like. All that being said, I wanted a high quality, soothing oil to help lull my little 4 year old daughter and 17 month old son. With the longer days, its getting harder to get them to settle down for bed. When I opened the bottle of Serenity for the first time, I was prepared to be "wowed," since I have heard from so many other reviews that this stuff smells sublime. I was a little let down when I first smelled it in the bottle. It seemed a touch harsh and quite cloying. Then I recalled that lavender is yucky out of the bottle, but nice once it mellows on the skin. So, I put a few drops on my hand and rubbed it over my neck and arms. I was pleasantly surprised to find the scent mellowed into a pretty and comforting fragrance. I didn't think it was the best smell ever, but it was nice. What happened next, I did not expect. About ten minutes after applying Serenity, I had a "whoosh" sensation and felt a touch lightheaded or floaty. I sat down. I felt a pleasant sensation like the very first glow when drinking a glass of wine. This was a little disconcerting since I am in recovery. How ironic would it be to relapse from a product named Serenity (LOL)?! Fortunately, this didn't evolve into euphoria. I just felt calm and well, serene. After this, my little son climbed into my arms and fell fast asleep within about five minutes. This wouldn't be notable, except he had already napped earlier in the day. It's fairly unusual for him to take a second nap.Son slept for about an hour. I felt serene and cheerful for several hours. Later, when it was my daughtes's bedtime, I put a drop of Serenity in a tablespoon of almond oil and gave her a hand and foot rub. She didn't fall asleep terribly fast, but she slept in later than usual. I am intrigued by the results. I am not a typical new ager, and it is hard to understand what exactly the mechanism of action is with this product. All I can say is that it does bring a sense of serenity. Weird but true...I am proceding with a bit of caution: though it is "natural" it is remarkably efficacious.

Been using DoTerra oils for 14+ years
I use DoTerra Serenity blend and Lavender essential oil every night before bed. I can’t live without it now. The scent is so soothing to me. I also LOVE the women’s blend called “whisper”, however they only make it in a roller ball now.. they used to sell 5ml bottles which were much more concentrated and lasted longer. I still buy it though but it uses up fast. The serenity oil and the other essential oils in 15ml bottles last a long time for me. I’ve had this serenity bottle since late 2022 and it’s Sept 10, 2023 today. I’m due for a new bottle since this one’s almost gone. I put a dab straight on my wrist and rub some on my pulse point (neck) and put some on the top of my nose so I’m always breathing it in before I sleep.. it helps me calm down and fall asleep. I also rub some on my chest. The main DoTerra oils I love and own are Balance, Serenity, Lavender, Melaleuca (tea tree), Breathe, Aroma Touch, Deep Blue, Clove, OnGuard, Wild Orange and Whisper.

Nice scent, slept soundly!
First thought upon opening bottle, "mmmmm". Another reviewer suggested to blend with balance, so I did. Put into a roller combining both and adding in coconut oil. Placed on neck, wrists, and feet. Did not have as quick feeling as other reviewer, but smells good. So I placed some also in diffuser set for 2 hours. Never heard the diffuser turn off, and slept soundly through the night. Have to admit, this is likely a back up blend to some Young Living oils I love that are out of stock. But still a nice change and felt good waking up today. My turn off to Doterra is having to pay a membership fee, and I do not want to be a distributor. I can easily purchase directly from Young Living to ensure best quality, while Doterra purchases are at the hands of third party purchases.

Helped me in so many ways!
As a stay-at-home mom of 3 year old triplets and an owner of branding agency - I find that my life can be VERY chaotic. Between demanding ducklings that follow my every move to clients that expect the best of me at all times - I was in need of good sleep at night which my brain didn't let me do... I just couldn't stop thinking about what I needed to do the following day and the hours would pass on the clock. And having 3 littles that go through a witching hour right as I'm preparing dinner every night - I needed to be calm in dealing with the tantrums. So, how has this little vile of essential oil helped me??? It helps me rest at night, beautifully, deeply. And during those tense times with my kiddos - it helps me keep a calm presence allowing the situation to be handled properly vs. lowering myself to acting like one of them. I've also placed the oil on my kids to see if it helps them calm a bit and from time to time I see a marked change. It is a subtle difference that you feel - it doesn't hit you like a truck like some medications like valuum (sp?). This is how I apply it: two swipes of the oil applied with my finger tips to the bottom of my toes, one swipe on the back of my neck and one swipe across my forehead. After doing this, while lying on my back - it is a little bizarre, but fun to wait for - you can actually feel your body sort of dial down your energy and you don't feel "tired" just at ease and that takes you into a sweet sleep that if I wasn't awakened by one of my cats or kids... would last all night. In the end... totally recommend. As for the smell - I can take it or leave it... but everybody is different in that regard.
