Works great! But be prepared to make a few mods
It is way more effective than the one I had. It was relatively easy to install but you should be prepared for a few things. 1: expect to use 1 or 2 self tapping screws to get it to mount on the bracket. 2: expect to do a little bit of soldering to extend the cables in case your current wiring isn’t long enough. However, odds are if you are considering buying this, you already have a DIY mentality. Which is nice! Also in case anybody was wondering: running this thing 24hrs at a rate of $0.9/khw would run you about $1.14/day. Not sure if I’d recommend running it for that long but we’ll find out how long it lasts!

Didn't Last Long!
This unit was the perfect replacement for my original TS-001 heater/blower in a Duraflame/TwinStar electric fireplace. The mounting holes lined up perfectly though the holes were not threaded for the original mounting screws. I simply used some self-tapping screws to get around that issue. After mounting the new unit, connecting all the wiring, and putting everything back together, it worked like a charm and I was very pleased. The unit was quiet and produced an adequate amount of heat for my purpose of helping to warm a cold bedroom at night. However, it worked fine for only three nights, an approximate total of 24 hours. Then it died and would not work again at all. Very disappointing since the original unit lasted about 6 years! It was a waste of money.

Fixed my electric fireplace heater!
My electric fireplace heater stoped working so I did some research and decided this looked to be the exact same thing so I took a chance and I’m glad I did! It does take a little know how with shrink tube wiring connectors and following the lines to figure out which line goes to what part. It wasn’t completely obvious at first and it took me a little bit to figure out where to put each wire but you just have to follow the lines and take one line off of the old unit and then put that one on the new unit in the same place you took it off of the old unit and you should be okay. Just do one at a time and it makes it a little easier to understand which wire goes to what. My particular heater model did not require the one black line to be used so I just taped it off. I cut the wire ends off and added the correct spade end on so it could just plug into the heater unit. You can see in the last photo I shared how the red spade connector with black electrical tape is new, that’s the spade connecto. I had to cut the wire off of the old unit to remove it and I added the spade connector so it would plug right in. I also had to re use the black bottom mounting plate but everything mounted up the exact same and the same screws worked and I didn’t have to make new holes or anything like some other reviews mentioned. Everything lines up perfectly on my unit. So far we have used the heater aprox 40 hours and it seems like it works even better than it did when I first got the unit!
