As advertised, a quiet fan but less blowing force than you might expect. UPDATED
update 9/25: Fan has been running continuously at high speed for 2 years and 4 months. I am impressed. No issues with it, just a lot of clinging dust to clean off. While I did expect a stronger flow, this performance is good enough to up my rating to 5 stars. I even bought a second one, which is now almost $10 cheaper than the first one was, with a couple design changes - mainly a more compact cage for the blades. We'll see how the second one holds up!I do think ball bearings in the motor make all the difference in long-term performance. And this fan has them! See included pic below, which shows the ball bearing at one end of the drive shaft. I've become a fairly adept fan motor fiddler, as I've purchased and repaired various fan motors in my home over the years, whether for bathroom exhaust, air cleaners, or simply to enhance airflow around my house to augment crummy ductwork layout. Nearly every single one has "sintered bronze" bearings (google it), and for such simple devices they can indeed hold up a long time, but most often do not when in continuous use - the lubricant dries up, and then the bearings start to squeak - sadly the fan may just be junk at that point. I've learned that with cleaning and re-lubing with a proper lubricant (like Liquid Bearings or 3-in-1 Electric Motor Oil) they most often can be restored to good working condition, though it gets to become a cycle of re-cleaning and re-lubing. With this fan's ball bearings at both shaft ends, the process is stretched way out longer (years!), and you can simply get new bearings when the old ones wear out, and super cheap at that - like $1 apiece! Just read the number on the bearing and search for matching ones on Amazon. One caution is the ball bearings can vary a bit widely in quality, resulting in slight noise from some, but at a buck each you can hunt for well-reviewed ones or those intended for high-speed applications.-------- Original -------On high speed it sounds like it's blowing a lot of air, but not as much as I would expect from a twelve inch fan, which is rather large - especially one described as "industrial".

Great air flow
Great fan. Came fully assembled, just plugged it in and it worked great. A great fan for the price. Not as noisy as others have reported. A great fan for the bedroom as my wife can't sleep without a fan on her. Great circulation throughout the room. Blows hard even on low.

Fantastic Fan
I live in a small home that was built in the 70s. There's no central Heat and Air but i have quality units in the wall and window in my room. My home stays at 72 year round. I recently had to have my main wall unit replaced and it's a few BTUs less but way more efficient. It needed some help to circulate and i have the perfect spot for it. There is some white noise but nothing my 7.1 surround sound isn't knocking out. The fan is angled and completely circulates the air in my kitchen/living space. It's amazing that one quality shop fan can make such a big difference in the majority of my home. It's sturdy, easy to clean and mine hasn't had any issues, digs, ect. The low setting is more than enough for 5-600sqft so I'm sure in a larger space, would be very effective. I hope it lasts a long time

GOOD FAN & GOOD PRICE
I really want to give this Simple Deluxe 20" floor fan five stars, but I just can't. Nor can I stop laughing at so many errors in the descriptions here, and the included instructions. Many products from China are very good, and many are great values, but I'm still lost as to why they can't produce better descriptions and instructions for their English speaking customers.> The fan itself seems like a good product being sold at a bargain price, and it alone would get five stars from me. But the descriptions here, and the included instructions are frequently misleading, and should be corrected.> First of all, this fan does not oscillate, nor is it designed for mounting on a wall. You can adjust the air flow for any up/down angle, and you can simply turn the whole assembly left and right to direct the air flow in the desired direction. But nothing in the box is designed for, or to assist in wall mounting. It's a floor fan. Accept it.> Secondly, the overall width of the fan unit is 21.5 in., or 23 in. including the stand. The description here says 23x10x23, but I have no idea where they got the 10. The shipping box measures 23.5 x 22 x 6.75 in. I didn't see a 10 lying around anywhere! By the way, the fan alone (without the mount) measures 5.75 in. front to rear.> 35 watts or 125 watts? Which is it? Answer: Neither. Using a Kill A Watt EZ, I measured 0.88 amps/105W on low, 1.01 amps/133W on medium, and 1.2 amps/145W on high.> Material: Aluminum. Well, no, not really. The fan blade assembly is aluminum, but magnets stick to just about everything else but the rubber knobs on the sides. And those are not knobs! Barely the size of a nickle, they are not meant to overcome an 8mm steel locknut! Pull the rubber cover off, use a wrench on the locknut, and then replace the cover. But you can probably muscle the fan into the desired position without loosening the knobs. (They're not knobs!)> The description says "rotary switches" and "button controls". All I found was one, four-position rotary switch, but hey... it's a knob! I found a knob!> No assembly required? Well, it takes a little, but it takes even more if you want to completely remove the plastic wrap from the stand, because the mounting pads were screwed on OVER the plastic! (WTF?)> Indoor or outdoor, residential or commercial use? The included instructions folder says indoor only, and for commercial use only. Use a little common sense when using the fan out on your patio or driveway, and if you use it at your residence, I won't tell.> I'm still mystified about the "oil ways" mentioned at the very end of the instructions. There are some notch-like holes around the rear shell, but they're alignment tabs, and they do not lead to the motor shaft or bearings. Add oil if you want but it will just make a mess. But here's an idea: Why not use the same oil schedule you use when oiling the motors in your refrigerator, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, dish washer... etc.? You can even use the same oil!> Oh oh. The instructions are very clear about "DO NOT use fan in window." Oops. My bad.>My wife told me to take the spider out instead of killing him. So I took him out. Had a few drinks. Nice guy. Turns out he's a web designer.

Best Fans Ever
I purchased these for my East TN home - my ancient AC died and it’s hot and humid. The 20” are amazing. They come assembled except for snapping on the base. Yes they are noisy but it’s totally worth it. I use them for my dogs - who lie in front of them blissed out. I set them just outside my doors at night and they draw in cool air and blast it into the house. I’m going to order two more immediately.
