Panasonic DECT 6.0 Expandable System, Cordless Phones With Answering Machine and Call Blocking - 5 Cordless Phones 5 Handsets - KX-TGE645M (Metallic Black)

I bought this to replace a similar setup which I had had and been using for years (at least 10), after the old system's base unit started to malfunction and lose range. This one works very well, with clear transmission and reception all through my 2300 sq ft single story house and its similar sized basement. That is particularly noteworthy since (because of where the cable modem with the phone connection is located) the base unit is located on the outside wall of an office at one corner of the house. I don't use many of the more obscure features of the phone, but it stores more than sufficient numbers in its phone book and allows the setting of different ring tones for different groups via caller ID. The intercom feature also works well.

We had purchased a set very similar to this in 2012 and they served us well. They were beginning to show their age so we purchased this set and they work as great as our original set.

Nice set but doesn't show the time on the screen

Works very good.

Compared to previous version the range from base station was significantly shorter. The battery life between recharges was significantly shorter. the phone book of 100 is too small considering the call blocking. The call blocking is a significant feature. The volume on the play messages is to low. The play messages button is to small for big fingers.

This replaces an older unit a close lightning strike took out (along with a router and switch). Works fine. Instructions ok.

They work really good

I HAD PREVIOUSLY OWNED A PANASONIC PHOE SYSTEM, ABOUT 10 YRS OLD. SOME PROBLEMS DEVELOPED, SO I BOUGHT A NEW SET. THE PREVIOUSE PHONE ON MY WIFE'S DESK WORKED FINE, BUT THE NEW PHONE JUST WON'T WORK. I CONTACTED PANASONIC AND THEY ADVICE THAT THEY GAVE ME DIDN'T WORK EITHER. I'LL NEED TO REPLACE THIS NEW PHONE WITH A PHONE SYSTEM FROM A DIFFERENT MANUFACTURER.
