This was a replacement for a lovely clock that was a gift that I'd had for 30 years. I was hesitant because this is 'plastic,' but as other reviewers have noted, on the wall, it looks like real wood--in fact, it's just as nice as the much more expensive clock that it replaced.I'm puzzled by the instructions not to use alkaline batteries. It was all I had, so I used them, and the clock is working just fine. Perhaps I'll need to replace them more often? No idea.From opening the box to hanging the running clock on my wall was just about 15 minutes

I love this clock. The face of the clock is a good size and very easy to read at a distance. Pendulum swings perfectly. Looks like wood from afar, but really is made out of plastic. Good product for the price.

This is a good price and looks more expensive! Works great and the color is nice as well. Would recommend this clock!

disappointed pendulum does not stay attached. Hook too small. Used 2 alkaline batteries as featured in Amazon description of item. Instructions from mfr. said not to use alkaline.

Very happy with its looks and accuracy. Very smart looking. Just to be clear, however, the back of the clock where you attach the pendulum is very plastic and cheap. I was afraid it would break as I hung it from the equally plastic cheap piece it hangs from. That's why the 4stars.Other than that, the clock does not look cheap from accoss the room.

Needed a replacement wall clock this one is a little smaller but fits proportionally in its place.
