Great value and quality!
Other reviews mention that installation is difficult and that the instructions provided don't help. That part is true. I had to go to YouTube to figure out the install. Most of the difficulty as far as installation had more to do with the car, not the cargo bars. I did have to purchase extra washers from the hardware store, because the bolts were slightly longer than needed. I don't fault the company for that, it's more an issue with Kia. But, from getting everything out of the box, to completion, took maybe an hour and a half. It was worth it! Knowing other people are spending $750 to over $1500 to have these installed is insane! Fir $108, what a great value! And they look really good on my car, make it look badass, and now I can haul more stuff with my amazing Soul!

There is a method for installing that makes it so much easier.
Bought these based on the price and speed with which I would receive them. There really is no easy way to install these, but that is the fault of Kia and not the fault of the rails. That 1 bolt hole set at a slight angle is quite possibly the most infuriating setup I have ever encountered.I used a Sharpie to draw a line from the location of the bolt hole down to below the feet so I could gauge the location correctly and not be prodding blindly when trying to catch the threads. Another suggestion is to stand on a chair or something else to be above the install and not below it. Put a little grease on the threads of the bolt and screw it into the hole just to clear the threads and make it easier to grab.Took 10 minutes for the first foot and less than 5 minutes for the other 3. Yank out the footing a bit to move it in at an angle to catch the threads. I cranked on the rails after the install and they look sturdy enough for the pod going on top.*added pics after the 2900 mile trip. The bars held the fully loaded pod in all conditions. Never any issues or doubts in rain, wind or speed.

Installation Instructions?
I read reviews before I bought these, so I was prepared for the installation instructions to not be so great, but yikes. Might as well toss them and just figure it out, which is what I did. Overall they fit just fine, but the plastic covers that go on top over the bolts and hardware are extremely tight. By about the fourth one I had somewhat of a method figured out, but man. I don't know why they couldn't have left a little more room for those to slide and lock in. So the difficulty of installation is what kept me from giving these a 5-star review.

Arrived w/ damage, poor instructions, poor quality control and finish.
TL;DR: With no damage and better quality control the cost of this roof do would have been a louder but otherwise passable roof rack compared to the OEM ($250ish) or a Yakima/Thule ($650-$750ish), so buy with this in mind.Pros:-Decently easy install for those with some experience installing gear on cars and working with tools.Cons:-Poor instructions, a single page with little detail.-Instructions suggest torque ratings but doesn't provide too or instructions on how to apply this in any way.-Quality Control issues, including a broken part, obviously defective powder coating, many rough or unfinished edges and marks on the metal.-Questionable weatherproofing, weak lock mechanism.Bottom line, if you want a clean install with solid QC get the OEM or big name aftermarket racks. If this is your choice just make it knowing what you're getting, a decent entry level rack with some install challenges and some poor fit and finish, and maybe some QC issues as well.

Works on My Kia Soul 2020
This is a great product. Especially, for the cost! The instructions could use an update, but the important stuff is labeled or in the directions. Make a point to think about how it is going to go together before you start and you will be fine. The elbows that attach to the car are what accommodate the difference in length between the front and the back bar mounting holes on the car. I measured the difference at about 2". Remember to orient the rubber base so that it will provide a flat mounting surface for the rack on the sloped roof of the car, one side is taller and there is a top and bottom. The curved plastic piece sits inside the rubber base.Once the rack is mounted and the cross bar is evenly spaced, don't forget to tighten (clockwise) the wedge that will keep the bar from shifting between the elbows, It will take a long time if you use the allen wrench provide, just keep at it. The tab on the cover piece slides in on top of the rubber part of the cross bar.I could not be happier with this roof rack!

Very difficult to install on 2017 Kia Soul
This product is incredibly difficult to install on a 2017 Kia Soul. This is because the factory rooftop screws are tapped at ~20-35 degree angle. They are not straight (90 degrees), at least on my car. The holes drilled on the mounts for this roof rack were drilled at a solid 90 degrees. While I was able to get it installed (~3 hours of fumbling), the plastic is under constant stress due to the angle of the factory mounts.Very difficult to install. If you have the budget, go OEM or if you don't, use the universal fitting crossbars (usually <$100). Otherwise, these do look quite good once they are installed. But the process really isn't fun. If you have the means to modify these crossbars to fit the angle of the factory mounts better, by all means, do it.Oh, and the bolts are short. Because I didn't want to go out and purchase new bolts, I omitted a piece of mounting plastic in between the main mount and the rubber bottom to give the bolt enough thread to reach the factory mount.Overall: If I had another Kia Soul in the family, I would avoid purchasing this product for it again. I would purchase the OEM or the universal cross bars.
