I'm sure in Sweden or Finland or wherever these things are awesome. I knew they weren't "American" licorice and they definitely are not. If you love sweet candy you will hate these. They will get eaten, and maybe afterwards I will like the flavor. But right now....EDIT... OK so f ew months went by and I needed to buy some more. Changed rating from 3 to 5. Oddly addictive.

The taste and texture of these are what I was expecting and what I got used to as a kid visiting family in the Netherlands. Sometimes these imported Dutch licorices are stale but I'm happy to say what I got from this vendor was not.Saw some reviews shocked about the taste and ammonium chloride on the label; yeah, that's what this stuff is made with. This is not for people expecting Twizzler licorice. You should only buy this if you already know what this stuff tastes like, and I haven't met anyone who tried it for the first time as an adult and liked it.If you grew up with it, yes, this is what you're looking for.

This is VERY salty. Might as well suck on a teaspoon of table salt.Ate three pieces to be sure I didn’t just get it wrong and threw the rest of the 16 oz bag in the trash.

Dutch classic salty candy

Having been born and raised dutch, I have loved salt licorice. Double salt it is not. The texture is not hard, but soft. It's a tasty black licorice, but not salty enough for me. Double salt should be Double salt

Love the licorice,reminds me of Hollands drops Licorice ,salty and not too soft ,as a Swede that was brought up on Salty Licorice,this is just perfect ,I will be back for more A+++++++++

I'm not a connoisseur and was looking for some Dutch licorice. I wish I could find a variety pack that had different licorice flavors i.e., double zout, scotties, etc. These are all of the same flavor but very tasty.
