Dr. Markin's book serves as a highly valuable tool box for integration. It guided me through the scenarios where a particular technique should be applied and how to apply that technique. I love the organization of the techniques, especially in Chapter 7 Integration of Rational Functions and Chapter 8 Rationalizing Substitutions, a remarkable chapter of the book. The book also provides theorems that explain why the method works, which I found very useful for my Analysis class. While preparation for my first Integration Bee championship took me weeks, it only took me a few days of preparation with Dr. Markin's book to obtain my second championship! One of my favorite sections of the book is the 'Mixed Integration Problems'. The solution to the very first problem was a key step to my championship.
