I only like to use these candles, because they actually smell like they aren't just a bunch of PFAs made in a lab. They all smell uniquely different than other brands, which use the exact same way-too-strong scents over & over while changing their names every other year. They're the only candle brand that doesn't immediately give me a headache.

I'm not sure why there are poor reviews by some, but the candle I received smells EXACTLY like their hand soap and their dryer sheets. FRESH & CLEAN. I use it in my office but I don't light the wick. I put it onto one of those plug-in coffee cup warmers and let the wax melt, then turn it off. Everyone who comes into my office tells me how fresh and nice my office smells. It is nothing like those outlet plug-in things that stink. BTW, not sure why this is called Basil--because it smells nothing like basil! It's a delightful scent.

Great little gift. I got it for my father-in-law because he said he wished he had a basil candle. It was a toss up between this or a wood wick brand and I decided to try the Mrs Meyers. The candle is nice and smells clean, however the basil scent is severely lacking unless you have the candle right in your face. Then you might be able to get a little whiff. Good candle? Yes! Good BASIL candle? No. I would not get their basil scent again. However I do still love the companies other products.

Basil is my favorite scent from this line. It makes my home smell delicious.

Good quality candle, but AVOID the Basil scent. I love Mrs. Meyers Basil scented hand soap and multipurpose kitchen cleaner. The Basil scent in the candle is nothing like the other products. I only used it a couple of times, the smell was intolerable.

I get terrible headaches from certain fragrances, and am very sensitive to smells. Usually if someone says something has a weak scent, I am safe to buy it because I know it won’t be overbearing for me. This candle smells lovely when you remove the lid. It’s just what you’d expect if you’re familiar with the soaps and cleaners. Unfortunately once you burn it, all you can smell is wick. I bought another fragrance to test before I left a review and had the exact same problem with that one. I wouldn’t recommend

I absolutely love this candle. It has the most clean, refreshing fragrance. I love it so much I wish it was made in a bigger size (like the large Yankee Candle jar size!) Highly recommend.
