I'm so glad I ordered this.. I got this to start making sausage and decided to go with the smaller one to start. The reviews were good, so I thought I would go with this model. I really enjoy how it's all stainless, which makes for easy sanitary cleaning. The weight is perfect and the stuffer has two options for speed.This is really good and I am able to crank the handle, while stuffing the sausage just by myself.. in fact I've gotten really good at it. The only thing I wish I had done different, was purchase a bigger model.. as I generally make 10lbs worth at a time. With this smaller one, I have to stop and refill it about 70% of the way through.

Pros: Build quality and quick setup was excellent. I like the fact that most of parts are all metal instead of plastic. Cleanup is also very easy. Having 2 speeds for the hand crank is helpful when you need to raise the press to add more meat. Price wasn't bad either considering what the competition is charging.Cons: You MUST clamp down the base of the unit to use it effectively. The design of the base makes this a bit of a challenge to clamp down if you don't have some spare wood to run across the base. Most, if not all other manual sausage stuffs will have the exact same issue, but if the base had a flatter design, it would have made things a lot easier. If your counter doesn't lend itself to clamps you should skip these types of products. In my opinion the product is nearly worthless without clamps.I had a 10.5 lbs of meat to stuff and it took at least 3 full refills to finish stuffing that much meat. In reality the hopper holds 4-5lbs at most. There is no way this holds 7 lbs of meat in the hopper.The rubber ring around the press allows for meat to get lodged between the press and the ring. It is easy to miss while cleaning, especially if you didn't realize the press can be unscrewed for cleaning.My unit had the screw for the bleeder value completely detached and rolling around in the hopper. I didn't know what it was at first, but I was able to figure it out after examining the unit closely. It was an easy fix, but that looks pretty bad from a quality control standpoint.Even factoring in the cons, I still think the unit is well worth the price (if you can use claps on your counter), it makes sausage stuffing so much easier. If you can find workarounds for the cons I think this product is hard to beat at this price point.

it's a quality-built stuffer, my only complaint would be that it doesn't come with the 3/8 (10mm) stuffing tube and it's an additional 17 bucks from Amazon. you have to have the small tube for snack sticks, otherwise it's a great stuffer. the included horns are stainless, and long so they allow for plenty of casing to be loaded on them and are easy to clean.

I bought the Hakka 7Lb/3L sausage stuffer for processing venison. I made 20 lbs of brats and 10 lbs of Italian sausages. Being my first time stuffing casings, there was a little bit of a learning curve to get the right amount of meat in the casings without too much air.With the tilt function, filling the stuffer was easy. The automatic air release valve ensured the stuffer could make a good seal, and cranking the handle was easy enough... Going forward, I may try to mount the stuffer on a large, heavy butcher block for stability. But I'll definitely be using this to make a lot more sausage!I also appreciate that everything comes apart for cleaning.
