Decent clock for the price
Although this Big Ben (and other models) are neither as well-constructed as the old windup models, it's still a good reproduction for the nostalgia buffs and keeps perfect time for those who like precision. I compare the Big Ben time on this model with my cell phone time every other week or so, and on the current battery, it's barely lost a few seconds since the battery was replaced about 3 months ago. I grew up with my grand parents' Big Bens the bought in the 1930s/1940s, and my parents' BBs from the 1940s. I have several (battery operated) models from Amazon scattered about the house for nostaligia's sake, and they all remain accurate.

Not a Big Ben, but heavy and it works
I was looking to replace my old "Little Ben" (or whatever they called them) alarm clock. At first glance, I thought it was the same. It's made by Westclox and looks almost the same, but not an actual "Ben". Heavy weight and works! I would recommend if you like this retro look

4.25 inches tall NOT 6.25 inches as advertised
I ordered this to replace my Westclox Big Ben which finally quit after 25 years. When I opened it, I almost laughed. It's tiny. Definitely not a "Big" Ben. It seems flimsy and cheaply made. I returned it.

Really Smaller Than Expected
For the money it's a good LITTLE battery operated clock which should fit nicely into a small space . I use this in my bathroom to keep track of time when getting ready to go out , etc.I have it 4 stars since the picture made it appear much larger than it is .

Not Great for Wake up
Not a good alarm, much too soft. Clock is small but readable. I have an old Westclox and it is a charm. Somehow the new ones barely make a noise. Seems to keep good time and seems sturdy. Now great for a 5AM wake up!
