Can only get the dies that come with it
Sturdy machine. I hope it don't break like the other review I saw. I can't find the dies for the 12mm, 14mm that will fit the machine. The seller did not sell them. The gromment I use are the standard 12mm for flags. Not the size dies and gromments that came with it.

It saves me a great deal of time!
I make busy blankets, sometime called fidget quilts. Think of a large placemat sized piece of fabric with items on it: a zipper to zip up and down, a button to un-button and button, a fabric pocket with a hook-and-loop closure which can be opened and keys on a ribbon removed; a strip of “fur” which can be petted/stroked to help bring memories of Fido or Fluffy, a string of large, colorful acrylic beads to "worry", and something to lace up - like how you would lace up your sneakers. I make these busy blankets for residents of our local memory care facility. I had been making ribbon loops - which takes too much time. Then I found a kit that I could install grommets by hammering them. Evidently, I'm not strong enough to have made that work. Then I saw an on-line video which recommended that I get one of these grommet hand presses if I'm going to be doing "production" work - which I am.Right now I'm using the 1/2" sized grommets. I take a little metal circle and place it over the space where I want a hole. I take a ball point pen and draw a line inside the circle. That's the size I want my hole to be. Sharp snips make the holes, I insert the larger piece with the "throat"- or whatever it's called - on the machine, slip the right side of the fabric face down over the "throat", put the little metal circle on top and bring the handle down. I don't even have to stand up and put some oomph into the effort. The fixing of one grommet is the work of less than a minute. And, when I'm putting 6-8 grommets into a single busy blanket, time adds up. As soon as I've used all of the ½” grommets I’ll start using the 3/8” grommets. The shoe laces I’m using will fit that size too.My ONLY complaint is that this company doesn’t sell refills of its grommets. Yet. I did ask the question about what other grommets could be used with this QWORK hand press and was advised that any would do. Well, I’ve tried using the ½” grommets from the original kit I bought and the press doesn’t make them work. I’m thinking it’s because the grommets might be stainless steel and of a stronger metal or it’s because of me. I’ll try again when I’m about to run out of the 3/8” grommets. The thing is, if I want to buy grommets in bulk then a tool is usually for sale, too - buy this tool and get a pile of grommets!. All I want are more grommets! I already have this tool and it makes my work so easy. It’s worth every dime. I don’t need another one.

Takes a bit of practice.
I make draw string backpacks and badge holders for Game Conventions. It took a little trial and error but once I figured it out it worked great.

Plain Grommets
The provided grommets are plain and best suited for lightweight materials, curtains, or thin banners.

Game changer!!
I decided to make backsacks for a local craft event. I was struggling with manually punching holes for grommets. Then I found this. Now I want to make grommets in everything I make. It's easy to use and comes with plenty of grommets. It is heavy, but it's something you will have a long time.

mixed reviews of product
the press itself seems to work fine.however the grommets that they sent with (and it was lovely they were 3 different sizes WITH the pieces needed to use them)but the grommets themselves are incredibly thin and flimsy. not happy with results at all.am re thinking if i even want to keep the press

Way better quality than most on Amazon. Solid tool.
Awesome heavy duty machine. Was worried after one I purchased broke in half. This thing is a beast.

Has never worked well
I used to make banners for a living, so I was excited to have a grommet device at home. Not one grommet has gone in correctly, using the included grommets on scrim banner material. I bought better grommets, and it's still a train wreck every time. I can't get the two parts to fold in on each other properly. One set should punch through the banner material and fold into the other half. I've done it for years at work, so I know I'm not clueless.
