Work good. Taste bad
Well, I went ahead and give this product a four star. If taken as directed, I feel like they really actually do help and make a difference in the way I feel after eating a meal. However, I must say the taste is odd to say the least. Granted you only have to chew two after or during a meal so it’s not hard to withstand the momentary unpleasantness of the taste. The best way I can describe the taste of these chewable tablets is…. that it tastes like how a porta potty right next to an ashtray with a hint of urinal cakes would smell but, in a convenient chewable tablet form. A must they find a way to drastically improve the flavor or make a flavor that has no resemblance to this one. I probably won’t purchase this product again.

As others have said, this burns the throat in a severe way
I am going to post what another reviewer said about this product after I state my experience, because this seems dangerous enough that the problem needs to be emphasized. I got this today, chewed two, and after I swallowed, my throat started burning, itching and feeling like it was closing up. When I say burning, I mean like acid burning my throat. I started producing mucus (the body’s protective mechanism for mucus membranes) and coughing it up. All this occurred within 2-3 minutes. I was frantically running around drinking water, then tea, then gargling with salt water. Nothing has stopped the burning, and it has been going on for an hour. I have contacted the company, Now, to let them know what is happening. At first, the lady tried to kind of brush it off, but she then came back and said several people have complained about bad taste from the product. Yes, I noticed that too. This product has a taste that reminds me of Betaine Hydrochloride and Pepsin products, which should NOT be chewed. Almost as if stuff got mixed up in the factory somehow. Now is supposedly contacting me by email to get this sent to them. I hope there is a refund coming somewhere too. I would say avoid this product from this company for a while. Something is very off. Another shopper’s review is below:carolyn lovelady1.0 out of 5 starsVerified PurchaseNot goodReviewed in the United States on January 20, 2024I purchased this because I was almost out of my other ones. Something is DEFINITELY wrong with these. After opening the bottle, I chewed a few tonight & it burned my throat really bad. I have NEVER had this happen before. I was going g to see if I could return them. It is obvious that something is NOT right. And evidently for some reason it is not returnable. I am NOT happy with that at all! I would NOT recommend this brand. I WAS AFRAID TO TRY ANOTHER ONE. It has been a good hour since chewed a few of the papaya enzymes tabs I have drank water to TRY to clear my throat & it is still VERY irritated & sour. I guess I'm going to have to toss them out. THAT WAS A WASTE ON MONEY? Don't waste yours like I did.

Nice substitute for another well known brand
When American Health’s Super Papaya’s Enzyme Plus supplement ran out, I discovered NOW’s version and it was decent!
