Bought this "just in case" I ever needed it. I liked that it was long & it could even work for a mini doxie (I tried that to see) as well as medium to larger dogs. It's softer on dogs' undersides by being wider too. I had no idea I'd need it, but sure enough my large dog woke up in a panic & kept trying to get up but kept falling over & her eyes looked scared, wide, & darting back & forth as if she was having a seizure. I thought she'd stroked & this was the end for her. Not so, it was "old dog syndrome" (yes, that's a real thing) & completely survivable "IF" she had help standing/walking so she could potty & "IF" she had food & water brought to & held for her so she got what she needed, as well as something from the vet to help w/ dizziness/headache/nausia til the syndrome ran it's month long course & went away. My back has serious injuries & I couldn't puck up, carry or hold up a large dog @ all no matter how much I loved her. But this sling saved the day!!! I was able to support her w/ the sling under her lower ribcage & a leash on a dog harness (w/ this illness she had to be supported both front & back ends so a dog harness was needed too). I could let her lean against my leg for added support & assurance for her while I guided her using the harness w/ leash & this sling combo (she was unable to see because of the dizziness & uncontrollable eye movements during this viral process) & it confused & scared her so much!). She felt more secure knowing I was there to guide & help her so she didn't fall, flail around, & panic. She would've died w/o this sling because I simply wouldn't have been able to support her w/o it & I was barely able to even w/ it because my back is so bad. I hurt terribly but wasn't about to let my dog die because I couldn't help her move around when she needed to & get to the food & water because she couldn't see it right in front of her so she could recover. She recovered after 6 of the longest wks ever & I took longer to recover from the strain it put on my back; but we both got thru it thanks to having this sling when it was needed most! I only ordered it to keep in my emergency 1st aide pet bag that I keep. Thank goodness I did that & it was here when my dog had to have it!!!! I've used a rolled beach towel in the past for a different dog before my back injuries & this sling is by far easier & better for both the owner & the dog! The adjustable hand strap length was great too so I could get it the best length I could according to my dog's height & how far the sling came up above her back to make it easier on my back. Having those handles was so much better than trying to hold onto the ends of a beach towel & guide a dog that can't stand on it's own & needs guided @ the same time because it's too afraid to try to walk even when supported. This sling is soft enough to just leave under the dog while laying down so it's already there when you have to support the dog again. It stayed under & around my dog's body the entire 6 wks. The stiching & fabric did not tear, fray, or go bad in any way & believe it when I say it got A LOT of use & work. It's made well. I honestly couldn't have saved my dog's life from a completely short-lived & fully recoverable viral condition w/o this sling, a harness, & leash. I'm so thankful I had the foresight to get this sling before I even knew I'd ever need one! And I have it if it's ever needed again. If u need one or just want to be prepared like I did, this is a good one & can be used for multiple sizes of dogs. I can even fold this one in half lengthwise under the the belly of a smaller dog that's not as long bodied as a mini-doxie. It's versatile if your thinking isn't limited.

This was very useful for my elderly dog with weakness in her hind legs. I used it when she was eating. She was about 32 lbs and 18 inches at the withers. This allowed me to be able to stand upright while waiting for her to eat her meals.

My German Shepherd is losing strength in her hind quarters. She can walk well, but she will soon need help getting up and down our porch steps. I wanted a simple lifter that I can quickly slip on to give her a boost on steps.My dog weighs 80 pounds. She is quite tall and slim, and I am on the short side. The Large sling is much too long for me to use comfortably. I bought a Medium, which can be adjusted down to a length that works OK for us. It is wide enough and strong enough to support her weight.The sling is heavy canvas on one side with a layer of soft, somewhat thin, fleece on the other side. There is no additional padding. The straps are sewn on securely and are easy to adjust. The Velcro handle is a separate piece from the sling. Since I want to minimize fiddling and the sling works without it, I don't plan to use the handle. When attached, the handle seems a little tight on the straps, but it works.

Our sweet Great Dane began having trouble in her rear hip/leg and needed help with standing and potty breaks. At 109 lbs, it was impossible for me to lift her on my own so I turned to Amazon for some help.I'm glad I found this sling. It helped so much in the last 2 weeks we had with our girl. As she was undergoing treatment, she would enjoy laying outside in the sun, but became unable to get up without help. With this sling, I was able to lift her and help her to walk and attempt to regain strength in her rear leg.It was a huge help when it came to her going potty, also. The straps are adjustable, so I could lengthen them as she needed to squat, making it possible for me to help her get back up with must less strain on her poor old bones. I told my husband that I could see after a couple of days using this sling, our girl learned it was there to help her and she almost seemed a bit relieved to see us coming to get her with it.This sling helped to make a difficult situation a bit easier.It is very well made, with sherpa lining to provide comfort for the pup while in use.The straps are thick and comfortable to hold on to. I am 5'5, apx 120lbs and because of this sling, I was able to lift my giant pup several times on my own, including getting her in and out the back of my car for vet visits.It has since been donated to a rescue to help other dogs.

This product is very well assembled with double stitching and is quite sturdy. One of the straps is adjustable and the interior of the sling is soft fleece and is very comfortable for the dog. I bought this as I am a new groomer and have concern about protecting my back when assisting older or larger dogs into an out of the bath. The sling can also be used with a carabiner as hip support on the grooming table arm while the dog is on the table. Older dogs can become very fatigued just standing still for a long time while everything is done. I love giving them a break, especially for their hip joints. I do plan to get this in multiple sizes, because I am focused on safety and comfort of the dog. Well done! I will definitely be keeping tabs on this company for other fantastic grooming aids!

This worked as a quick sling for my miniature dachshund with IVDD. Would I recommend it? No. The fabric is flimsy and rolls easily compared to other slings the exact same style.

Purchased this for our little pug who has lost the function of her back legs. She’s 13 and about 22 lbs and this really helps her to be able to go to the bathroom and to stand to drink water.

Made exceptionally well. Worth the wait to arrive.
