Great performance, reasonable price, light weight yet fairly durable.
This monitor is spacious, but light. Great picture quality and the slight bent makes everything from movies, to games, to spreadsheets more pleasing than my previous monitor, which was not a bad monitor. I feel the value I received for the price was really great.I had to test it on the main gaming rig as the pc I ordered it for has not yet arrived from Amazon yet. That is no fault of this monitor though. I'm quite satisfied with the monitor. I will update my review if anything bad with this product crops up. I don't anticipate a problem with it though.

Best for the value
This things amazing , I just got it yesterday and so far I love it , no dead pixels , the packaging was great , came with a display wire , looks great , a little washed out but it's not bad , worth the price and is a really big moniter , I'd prefer this over the 32 inch one just because it's already a big size and is cheaper , only thing that I'm not a fan of is the speakers , they are decent but you can easily spend 20$ on speakers for it , I use the moniter for my gaming laptop and there's no delay , works perfect with an hdmi cable .

Impressed
I built a new rig and was trying to decide what to do with the old one. It was too large and up to date just to put it in a closet to rot and it cost to much to sell (enthusiast). After some thought I decided to give it to my wife's friends child (11). They are not real financially stable and the kid stood behind me in awe for a year every time they came over, you could tell she had a calling in PC's. So I decided to pass it down to those who needed it the most. I can't really take the credit I think God had a hand in it.I was going to keep my monitor setup (3 x Asus 27" on an arm) so I needed a monitor to give them. I jumped on Amazon and found a cheap monitor I could just toss on it (This Monitor). MISTAKE! this monitor was fantastic. so good I almost kept it LOL and gave her the Asus's. I was a little jelly I am not gonna lie. It was so good even I just bought the 49" version to replace mine (currently in my driveway as I speak). Cant wait to install it tonight. Pro Tip... DO NOT buy the Samsung G9, should have went this route to begin with. If you are looking for your money's worth look no further, you found it.

Works as intended
What I like: It says 165hz when really it's 185hz in the settings. For gaming it's a fantastic monitor. It can also support up to 4k 144hz dynamic resolution. I mean it is absolutely smooth at 185hz and having a 3060ti I can get such framerates. The colors are not as punch out of the box and can seem a little flat. Pretty sharp for an FHD panel. Post production on this monitor may not yield great results if your color grading or color matching videos but I don't think anyone would be buying this for production. What I don't like: When the height isn't adjustable so for someone as tall as me, I feel like I look slightly downwards at the screen so I wish I could adjust it's desk height without having to buy cumbersome monitor arms. Another thing I dont like is how the screen washes out at different angles so you have to pretty much be dead center to have an evenish image but I guess that's what you get for that price.My.overall opinion on this monitor is, I would absolutely recommend it. It check more boxes for my high frame rate gaming needs and those thin bazels are sexier than Angelina jolie in a bikini in a Christmas commercial.Buy it now. You won't regret it not break your back at the same time.

Not bad, unless you get a dud
When I got this late August this year, I thought this monitor was too good to be true for the price. Turns out it was, because one day it turned off randomly. I thought it died right then, but I turned it back on by unplugging it from the wall for a couple minutes and then plugging it back in. But this issue of randomly turning off did not go away. Can't use a monitor that turns off. Hopefully there is some way that this can be resolved, but knowing how these things usually go my 230 bucks was completely wasted! I will never in my life buy another sceptre product!Update 1/28/21: Sceptre was able to repair my monitor for free, and I was lucky that they did, because not long after writing my initial review my unit completely refused to power on. I have been using it now trouble free for about a week so I will write a more thorough review. This was my first ever DP compatible monitor which has proven to me that DP is far superior to HDMI. I have yet to experience any signal loss caused by the included cable. The monitor itself boots up in about 3 seconds so if I turn on my PC then my monitor it will typically show the windows login screen popping up. The screen has great colors to my eye. My RX 580 8gb can handle 144hz in a decent amount of titles. Certain games after playing with a higher refresh I am ruined and I can hardly bare to play at 60hz. For example: Doom, Killing Floor 2, Fallout 4, Rocket League. I notice that Sceptre advertises up to 165hz, well in windows settings there is an option for 144 or 185hz but not 165. When attempting 185hz I noticed a bit more ghosting with overdrive on. I'm sure this is something that can be fixed in AMD drivers but I haven't bothered because 144 looks great to me. I do think that there should be a variable setting for overdrive instead of just on or off. Sometimes content playing at 60hz while the screen is set to 144hz will look juttery. Setting the monitor to 60 will smooth it out a bit but it will still look a little juttery. Because of this, if you are playing a game at 60hz and you drop frames it will be a lot more noticeable. If you can just live with it, it's really not that bad. The colors alone are good enough to keep playing games like Red Dead 2 (which throttles to 60 with my setup.) If you are coming from a lower refresh rate monitor you will immediately notice the extra fluidity in motion. One thing to keep in mind is that with older cards you will probably need to lower your in-game settings to keep a steady 144. Another thing is that 1080p is being phased out pretty quickly in favor of 1440p, and I can see why. 1080p is much better than 720p but pixels can be seen even from an optimal distance. Things like aliasing will stand out, which will be made worse with lower settings. Before buying this monitor I was really overdue for an upgrade and I feel like I got that for a decent price. In the future I will definitely want a 1440p setup but that will wait until I can afford a new graphics card, cpu, and monitor. My experience with this monitor started off rocky, but hopefully since it's been repaired it won't go bad again. After receiving a unit that failed and it being my first Sceptre product, I will be buying from a different brand. Overall, I like this monitor a lot when it works. Thanks.
