Is it originally from the Nevskaya Palitra factory
Not sure if it is the original, my set doesn't look like the one on the seller's picture. Doesn't have the Russian name on it. Does anybody have the same package?Trying it out, changed my rating!!! 5 stars

My second set of Sonnet watercolors
I originally got the set of 16 Sonnet watercolors, and I liked them so much that I bought this larger set.I've read again and again that Sonnet is the student version of White Nights and Ladoga (Ladoga is a version of White Nights without the cadmium and cobalt colors). They're all made in the same factory in Russia, and I can tell you that Sonnet watercolors are beautiful paints. They move well on paper, make great transparent washes and layer and glaze well.I want to talk about value and comparisons. While at just over a buck a pan, that's more than many student grade paints, this paint comes in full pans, not half pans, so it's actually a better value. I find it smoother on paper and more consistent in pigmentation then my Cotman or Van Gogh watercolor sets. While there are some fugitive colors, the paints are mostly good to excellent lightfastness. That being said, they're highly pigmented, and while that's a good thing, it can lead to unexpected results if you're used to less pigmented paints. A couple rubs of a brush on a set pan can be enough paint compared to 6 or 8 rubs on other brands; if you rub your brush as much as on most paints, you'll get a LOT of color, possibly more than you wanted. But don't panic - this paint with less paint on the brush are gorgeous and transparent. One thing I wanted to mention. When I got the 16 color set (same seller using Prime for fulfillment), it was perfect, but my 24 color set had dust dried into the top of the pans. That must have happened in the factory since the paints were covered with a plastic film with color and lightfastness info. Just damped a brush, dampen the top of each pan, wait a couple minutes and gently remove the top layer of paint with a damp paper towel.I love this paint for it's smoothness, beautiful colors, versatility and the fact it comes in full pans. I talked to a distributor (not the seller on Amazon, who hasn't replied to my emails) who said the ingredient list they sent him for Sonnet has no ox gall or gelatin. I haven't yet tried White Nights, but I do have a couple open stock pans on the way so I can compare them. In the meantime, this is my favorite paint set to use for my watercolor sketchbook, tutorials and doodling.
