I buy alot of cookbooks and often only try 2-3 recipes. But this book is my "goto" for pie crust in particular

Nice photos but unreliable pie crust recipes
This is a great gift book. The photos are stunning and it's a great introduction to savory pie baking. However, I suspect that the recipes were not adequately kitchen tested. The pie crust recipes in particular are faulty. In part it may be because of inaccurate conversion of grams to ounces (I'm American). One recipe calls for half the amount of water specified by all other recipes I consulted for the exact same crust. If you get this book, I that you consult and compare other recipes for similar pies before starting.
