very warm ,lots of room ,quality material ,heavy
this bag is a beast!! super cozy , took it on an overnight in 4-degree weather, didn't really realize that until waking up and pulling the bag down and watching my breath freeze, it is definitely good for 0-degree comfort,(with a sleep pad),one thing to point out though is this is not a trekking bag , if you are looking for lightweight this is not your bag..lolwhen I say its a beast it weighs in at 7 lbs and is not very quick to return to the bag, but for Overlanding, or base camping, I strongly recommend it, I am 5'9 255 lbs and I could pull it all the way over my head and roll around in it without any problem

Warmth and Comfort
I bought this sleeping back for my 66 year old sister who is a free spirited van dweller! She travels consistently and lives primarily in her van in campgrounds. She loves this sleeping bag! She needed a warmer one for the winter and this was prefect. She loves the larger size. She is a weeble and this sleeping bag fits her well. She says the inside feels like velvet!

Great insulation, bigger than I thought.
I used this sleeping bag a few times in single digit temps, once in an unheated tent.STUFF SACK: The bag does not stuff small, which is not a big deal for me as winter camping requires a lot of gear regardless. Tightest I could get it, the dimensions are probably 14"-16" in diameter, and 18" long. The nylon straps are pretty smooth, which means it doesn't really keep tension if you grab it by a strap. Not the best, but useable if you don't mind the size.SIZE: This is definitely a Big and Tall. I absolutely misjudged the size of this bag, and now kind of wish I bought the normal size. For the record, I'm not a small guy. I'm 6' 250lbs, and this bag is wide enough that I can fit another person next to me, albeit snugly. This did cause some issues with warmth, because I did not fill out the bag enough. My workaround was to slide to one side and fold part of the bag underneath me, which worked fine.LINER: The liner is very comfortable flannel. I know lots of people don't like flannel because of moisture-trapping and slow-drying, but for one or two nights, I had no trouble. There is a draft tube at chest level which seems to do a good job of keeping cold air out. Another draft tube under the zipper as well. One of the coolest features on this bag is a small pocket near the zipper. It's big enough for my cell phone or glasses, but I used it for a disposable hand warmer, which did wonderful things.EXTERIOR: The nylon exterior seems well-sewn, the insulation is trapped in smaller battens, which keeps it from shifting around and causing cold spots. I slept on a mat on the ground, and the bag had no tears or other issues. The zipper has a plastic cover, I'm assuming to prevent snagging, and it works pretty well. I did not have to remove any material from the zipper while zipping or unzipping.HOOD: This was my only gripe on an otherwise well-performing sleeping bag. The hood WILL NOT snug down to my face all the way. It's simply too big. I feel that if they tapered it just a little, there would have been zero issues. My workaround was to wear my trapper hat and fleece to bed, which kept me warm and comfy.PERFORMANCE: My first night was in an unheated tent at 8º. I had a sleeping mat underneath me. I wore fleece pants, wool socks, poly long underwear, and my columbia zip up fleece sweater. I also wore my trapper hat, due to the aforementioned hood issue. I put a hot hands packet in the footwell, and another one in the pocket near the zipper. The only time I was cold was when I had to use the little boy's room in the middle of the night. It took a few minutes to get my bag warmed up again, and I got right back to sleep.OVERALL: I would absolutely recommend this bag to a larger guy for winter camping, as long as you don't expect it to go below 0. If I expected the weather to go below zero, I would probably need my parka and coveralls. The good thing about that is it's big enough for a second bag if you need -40 performance but don't have $800 to drop on a sleeping bag!

Rated "snuggly buggly" by a 16 year old Life scout
Worked great for the 6 foot tall 300 pound boy scout in our house. The lining is very soft and the bag was easy to stuff back in the sack. The sack straps tighten to compact the bag more which is a big plus for space saving. He hasn't used it for cold camping yet so not sure how it will be. Looks warm.

So many good things to say about this (and one bad thing)
I bought this bag a year ago and just used it camping from the 7th to the 16th this month.First: I am 6'2" and 240 pounds so the oversize dimensions are important. This bag allows me to NOT jam my feet into the corners of the bag or curl up to get the top over my shoulders.Next. The fabric inside is SOP soft it's like sliding into a Crown Royal bag filled with puppy ears.#3.The Zipper has a shuttle attached to it that totally prevents fabric next to the zipper from getting pinched in it so zipping up after getting up in the middle of the night is easy and safe. Also unzipping is a breeze.#4. The hood area holds a pillow from getting away from you on an air mattress.#5 I can roll over without taking the bag with me so it's more like normal bed covers, so I can sleep left side, right side with knees pulled up a little and not hit the sides or feel cramped.#6 It DOES take up space and even with the compression bag pulled tight it's still a substantial size so backpackers beware.#7 Speaking of the bag - it's large enough so you don't have to pull your arms out of joint to roll the sleeping bag up tight enough to get back into the bag.Now the unfortunate part. The soft thin fabric on the outside of the sleeping bag is already pulling away from the curved line of stiches used to prevent filling sag and shift.Sewing is done right, but there are such tiny threads in the fabric it just isn't holding together. (photos included)Overall I am THRILLED with how the sleeping bag worked out for me this past week so I'm still giving it a full 5 stars

Great bag, with one side note
First of all I am an amateur camper, that being said this bag has not failed to keep me warm. It is currently 50 degrees and feels like 43 with a humidity level of 20%. Shorts and a T-shirt and I’m snug as a bug looking at the stars. I am 6’3” 360 lbs and I fit inside comfortably. I used it once in snow when I first got it to test it out. It was 10 degrees and currently snowing and I had no shelter. I stayed warm for three hours and never got cold. I didn’t intend to stay out that long, but I dozed off. Only down side is the size, it is big and heavy to carry. Otherwise I love it.
